Strange - That's what we, the Atlanta Hawks are all about.

Hawks have strange owners. No question about that. They can't agree so they end up

in court. This was long ago, but apparently is no closer to being settled. Fired their

front office man so they could do it themselves.

Hawks have a strange GM. Marches to a different drummer. Refuses to talk. When was

the great interview with him shown on T.V., heard on the radio, read in the papers or

posted on the net? Made some good moves and draft picks. Made some very questionable picks which didn't work out at all.

Hawks have a strange head coach. He is very open to the press, as opposed to

our GM. If we're giving out grades, at least we must give him an A for this. But,

having said this, he has strange rotations, has been very stubborn, even bull

headed in his coaching. He has a weakness in his offensive ideas by most accounts.

He has a doghouse where he keeps players he doesn't want to use. He has had

the disadvanage of having great, skilled players early in his stint here, but has

failed to lead this years team to :500. His record speaks for it's self.

Then, there's us, the fans. We, too, are a strange lot. Despite all their flaws, we

keep following this team, living and hoping for everything to work out and to see

our team win and win and win. Our emotions go up and down with every game.

We have been starved for a playoff appearance. We stay up late, loose sleep,

only to watch our Beloved Hawks win only one game on our west coast swing.

Now, with all this, we read this strange story about our GM trying to fire Woody,

but says the owners wouldn't go for it. We don't even know that it is true. We

don't know where it came from. Sure, we know who posted the story, but who

was the one who passed on this information?

Strange! Yep, got to admit it. We're all a little strange.
