As I wanted to say last night, I had my post typed, hit enter and the Hawksquawk went -

My teams went 1-2.

First, the Hawks lost. Bibby 0-8 / Zaza-Horford 2-15. That's 2-23 from the floor. Can't

expect to do much when that happens. Hawks were cold and the Pacers were hot.

They aren't THAT bad, especially with their star back on the floor. Chicago - Eliminated.

Hawks still firmly in 8th. Time is short for the Nets and Pacers. I much prefer to be

us than them.

Next, the Braves lose another close one. They're not a cold weather team. Just

wait, weather and Braves will both warm up.

Third - - The victory!! Tennessee gals won the NCAA championship. That's eight

for Pat Summit! Exciting game - Way to go!!

.333 ain't a bad batting average but it sure is a bad team winning %. Still, that one

win was the final game, so the other two losses I can live with - - - for now.

Time for the Hawks to step up - -NOW - - and we await warmer weather for the Braves.

Nets - Four behind the Hawks with 4 to go.

They must win ALL their remaining games AND Hawks lose all theirs for them to continue

in the race. Chicago is already out.

So, our only REAL worry is Indiana, those RED HOT Pacers who continue to breathe down

the back of our neck.

Still, I like our chances - - It's better where we are than where they are.

GO HAWKS!!!!

They always seem to start out slow. The baseball season is so long, you can't realy tell how a team is doing until a month or so in.
