Gray Mule
After careful study of the posters here, I have learned quiet a bit about the Hawks & their new owner. McDavid is broke. He really doesn't have the money to purchase all that is on the table. He will probably sell most of the present players and replace them with the rejects of the Development League. Hawks gave away Glenn {Diesel} Robinson for nothing. Cap space and future draft picks don't count. The player we recieved will not make the team, even a gutted one. We wasted two draft picks on an unknown Frenchman and some white boy. Any one else would have been better. Jason Terry can't play point guard, is too small to play #2 guard, plays no defense, and should be traded for a couple of Big Macks and fries. SAR has a bad back and will never be the same again. He will continue to stay around, draw his salary and will continue to be the leader of the loosing Hawks. If Hawks are lucky enough to re-sign DerMarr Johnson, we will be stuck with another cripple who was, at best before his injury, vastly over rated and will be practically useless now. If Hawks win over twenty games this upcoming season, it will be considered a success, perhaps even meraculous. In truth, we would be lucky to win the championship of the upcoming Development League with the present roster, although we could probably handle most of the smaller high schools in Georgia!!! Boy, oh Boy, I just can't wait for the new season to start, can you ??????????
Blunt91
come on Mule, it's not like you to talk so negative about this team. Sure things don't look bright but maybe we are in store for some surprises. I think you are wrong about Diaw, he will be a good player. As a matter of fact if he can can confidence in his scoring ability he might be a player we can market. He can rebound, pass, and dunk with the best of them.He only needs to gain more confidence in his shooting abilty. In the next year or two Diaw will be looked as a steal as the 21st pick. Gray Mule
Hey, I am as positive as ever. That was just a summary of what is being said here on Hawksquawk!!!! I hated, worst of all, to loose Neuble. That guy earned his money every night. We lost a good one there. This trade is not the final move for the Hawks. I think we have some decent players. Blue collar, working together type of team is what we need right now. And stability in the coaching staff. We didn't have a full coaching staff for much of last season. I predict tighter games, less silly turnovers and some good surprizes from some of our young players in the coming season.
