Will Childress be playing with "Baby Shaq"?

Yes Childres will play along side Sofoklis Schortsianitis (Baby Shaq) and also alongside Theo Papaloukas (he came back to Olympiakos after 6 years in Moscow with a huge contract 4 mil Euro's per year).

Schortsianitis had a lot of troubles last year. He gained a lot of weight and reached 195 Kgrms... (Almost 480 pounds). He was sent to a special institute in Switcherland for three months in order for him to fight bulimia (he is a certified bulimic) and now he is 160 Kgrms and still losing weight. When he crushed the USA team in Japan he was 153 Kgrs. He will be a member of the Greek National team in the Olympics (they are on the same group with USA team) but he is still off form he can only handle 15-20 minutes of play.

Keep in mind he is only 23 years old. The Clippers are watching him closely and if he manages to have a normal year they will try to take him to LA. His contract isn't very big (600.000 euros per year) and he has a 500.000$ buy out for the NBA.

As far as Papaloukas is concerned he is by far the best point guard outside the NBA and probably better than half the starting point guards in NBA teams. He is very agile with the ball despite his big size, he isn't a sharp shooter but he is a big games guy. If somebody watches him over during the Olympics you will notice his performance during the big games. With the NBA assist system he would average 12 apg easily (in Europe assist's count only if a basket is scored directly, if the player is fouled there is no assist for example). He never came to the NBA because of his fear of flight. He is very afraid of flying and he couldn't handle the life on plane that the NBA players have. Toronto Raptors last year offered him an amazing contract but he didn't leave Moscow because he couldn't handle the flights. In Europe he only has to fly once per week back and forth and the flights are 4 hours tops. So he can handle that.

He put a term in his contract with CSKA Moscow when he renewed not to play the away games in the regular season against Unix Kazan because of the seven hour flight from Moscow. He would only play the away game for the play off final... The second term he had on his contract was to be allowed to leave any summer from Moscow for Olympiakos since he is a fan of the team and always wanted to return to his favorite club.
