The jumper not going in is a direct result of the lack of minutes played. Working on it in practice is completely different then in a real game. You can't expect him to get better playing 3 minutes a night and maybe MAYBE taking two jumpshots a game. People like northcyde want Teague to suddenly improve his game while sitting on the bench. That's not going to happen.

Once again- in the past when Woodson has sat young guards there was always the question of whether Woodson was not being open or whether they simply weren't good enough to help the team. People bitched and moaned about Salim not playing- but now he is fully out of the league because no one else thinks he is good enough either. Acie Law people complained bitterly about- but he didn't even get his 4th year team option picked up once he moved on and now on his third team he is still a benchwarmer. Woodson has earned the benefit of the doubt for me- if he doesn't think that Teague is ready to help a team then I have no reason to doubt him. Teagues putrid shooting sure doesn't give me any reason to question it.

Maybe Woodson being a bad coach has something to do with those PG's failing.? You earn the benefit of the doubt when you develop players. Not when they sit on the bench, not develop and leave. Um, that's what happens when guys stay on the bench. They don't develop.

Did you miss the part where no other coaches have been able to do anything with these players either? If ANY coach in the league thought that Salim could help then he would be on a roster somewhere. When no coaches think a guy can help its pretty much evidence to me that it was a crappy draftpick. To me if a GM drafts a bust its to the coaches credit that he recognizes it early and doesn't waste minutes on the guy. Woodson sees teague in practice- if he doesn't think he can help the team right now they why do you think that you know better when Teague has been terrible in games as well? If Salim and Acie had moved on and blossomed then you would have reason to criticize woodson for how he handled them. But they fell flat on their faces after leaving which means that Woodson just recognized what they actually were a whole lot earlier than the fans did.

If we don't develop Teague or get a veteran replacement we are doomed this season to a second-round exit at best. It is that simple.

If Woody has recognized that Teague is another washout at PG, our GM must take steps to bring someone else in. I have been railing about this all season because anyone counting on Bibby to not be a liability based on injury and/or performance is living in a dream world, IMO. The future cannot be Bibby on an island as the PG with only our short SG, Jamal Crawford, there as a backup or defensive specialist.
