Game Preview:

The Hawks come into the game needing to erase a four game losing streak while the Timberwolves come in riding a two game winning streak. The Hawks defeated the T-Wolves 113-103 on November 5th. The Hawks have won their last nine meetings against the T-Wolves. Marvin Williams and Mo Evans both returned from injury on Friday night and have reported no problems afterwards and are expected to play again today.

Keys to the Game:

The earlier victory against Minnesota was the first game that Marvin Williams missed and the Hawks larger starting lineup worked in their favor as Minnesota is relentless on the boards. It will be key for the Hawks to buy in and control the defensive glass. In the earlier game the Hawks took advantage of the T-Wolves aggressiveness in going to the offensive boards by racing out to some easy fast break points. That will be key again today. During the T-Wolves winning streak, they have gotten superhuman performances from two of their key players. Michael Beasley scored a career high 42 points against Sacramento and Kevin Love turned in the NBA's first 30 point 30 rebound game in 28 years against the Knicks. The Hawks have to win the matchups today and cannot let a T-Wolves player turn in a career night. There is no overlooking this team. While it is early in the season, this is a must win at this point. The ship needs to be righted and that starts today with the Hawks hosting a team that they simply have to beat.
