Squawkers Hawksquawk Posted April 30, 2011 Squawkers Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 Via Hawks press release: A magnetic resonance imaging test (MRI) taken today revealed that Hawks guard Kirk Hinrich suffered a significant strain to his right hamstring with 3:07 remaining in last night’s series-clinching game six win over Orlando, according to head athletic trainer Wally Blase. Hinrich is listed as doubtful for the Eastern Conference Semifinals series vs. Chicago, which begins on Monday. To say that this is bad news would be an understatement. Hinrich was key in the Hawks first round victory over the Orlando Magic and will be sorely missed if he unable to play against Chicago and MVP candidate Derrick Rose. In theory this likely could be an opportunity for Jeff Teague as it would appear that he would join the three guard rotation that Larry Drew has deployed during the playoffs. It is likely that Jamal Crawford will still see the bulk of minutes at the point guard position but it is my guess that Teague will likely earn the starting nod since Jamal has yet to start a game in an Atlanta uniform. We will update this story as soon as anymore information becomes available. View the full article
