Nazr for who?

Lets compare all the trades that are being proposed for Nazr. Lets assume that this is the principle of the deal so the details will have to get worked out. Lets also assume we can replace him with a 2nd string big man like Dale Davis, Declerq, Heyward, Jones jr or whomever.

Mike Miller

Pro: 1) SF who could play SG - I like this combination better than SG who can play SF. I know it is a fine line, but I like the advantages that DJ has at SG more than at SF.

2) Good shooter, decent scorer, good 3PTer

3) Doesn't need to be #1 option

4) Young with 2 yrs cheap contract remaining

Con 1) May not be as athletic

2) More shooter than scorer

Bonzi Wells

Pro: 1) Good Shooter, good 3Pter, Good scorer

2) Doesn't need to be #1 option

3) Young wiht 1 ear of cheap salary

4) Athletic

Con: 1) SG only

2) injury past (may be behind him, but has never played a full season)

Penny Hardaway

Pro: 1) Versatility (can play 1-3)

2) Can run the show

3) They would have to take some of our heavy contract players

Con: 1) INJURY prone

2) BIG, LONG contract

3) Untradeable in future

3) Wants the ball

As I look at these, I still like Mike Miller best, but would take Bonzi Wells also. I just want to see DJ grow up to be the all-star SG. I see him as a little T-MAC, a little Reggie, a little Ray Allen. He could be something special. At SF, I see him being an above average player. Either way, I remember hearing last year, while he was not playing much, that he was the best player in practice on the team. When that starts to migrate itself out to the court...look out.

Nazr for Bonzi.

Nazr/extra for Dale Davis.

Now, let's get some new thoughts in here.

Nazr for Patterson. - Rueben would bring defense.

Nazr/Glover for Barry/James. - I doubt Seattle would give up

Barry.

Nazr for Barry/White (detroit). Detroit is starting to put together their team:

Billups/Stack/Robinson/Wallace/Nazr would be interesting. Plus, remember they wanted Nazr too.

I just like saying.. We get Barry White.

Nazr/Hendu/Glover to Toronto for Davis/Jeffries.

Actually, this would be us doing them a favor. Now.. They would have the money to resign Clark... And the space to play Big Dog.

Nazr/Vaughn to LAC for Maggette/Ely/EKEZIE

Hey... Why not. It gives them leverage over Khandi... Plus they could use Vaughn.

Nazr/Vaughn to Utah for Marshall?

D. Mason could be the highflying 2 that Dion should be. James gives us the physical 5 that we need to offset Nazr's finesse game. Nazr gives the Sonics a better offensive 5 than James to play in the center heavy west. Could be a good deal for both teams.

that would be a great trade becuase Mason is a growing Iverson and he can slash to the basket like JT. James will bring us defensive presents and give Theo a lot of breathers. he is also a growing player.
