Denver trades: SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili

SG Voshon Lenard

Denver receives:SG Boris Diaw-Riffiod

SG Travis Hansen

Why? With Nene, Melo, Camby, and Martin, they no longer need Nikoloz. Plus, with Andre Miller in the backcourt, they could use Diaw's size and tenacious defense.

Atlanta trades: SG Boris Diaw-Riffiod

SG Travis Hansen

SG Donta Smith ~ the rights to him

PG Jason Terry

PF Alan Henderson

PF Chris Crawford

1st Round Philly Pick

Atlanta receives: SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili

PG Jason Kidd

PF Aaron Williams

Why? Atlanta takes a huge gamble on Kidd's knees, especially with his large contract. But, would be instant contenders in the new division, especially since Dampier would probably sign on after this trade. Imagine:

PG - Jason Kidd -- good penetrator, leader

SG - Josh Childress - young, but long and good outside

SF - Al Harrington - tough defender, long, inside & out

PF - Nikioloz Tskitishvii - great outside shot, long

C - Erick Dampier - tough inside, big body

With bench - Aaron Williams, Josh Smith, maybe Jon Barry

Plus, still not over the salary cap.

New Jersey Trades: PG Jason Kidd

PF Aaron Williams

New Jersey receives: SG Donta Smith

PG Jason Terry

PF Alan Henderson

PF Chris Crawford

SG Voshon Lenard

Philly's 1st Round Pick via ATL

Why? First, Kidd is unhappy and not 100%. Plus, if Mourning doens't play this year, his contract will be up b/c it has an option in place. So, rejoining Arizona buds Terry and Jefferson (signing a huge contract extension ~below the max), they will be huge players in free agency next year. Plus, with 4 additional 1st round picks (from Denver's Martin trade and now from ATL) Imagine if they draft well and are able to land 1 or 2 big names in offseason (great free agency next year).

JT, Ray Allen?, Richard Jefferson, Shareef Abdur-Rahim?, and a C ~ they could easily land those guys in free agency and stay under salary cap ~ plus draft well (their picks and their additional 4 1st round picks) ~ could be overly talented in 1 year time like Detroit

Nope. Won't happen.

Hawks are building a team. They are busy getting the parts

together that they want to build this team with.

The players our G.M. has drafted and traded for are the

type he wants to make up this new Hawks team.

Although he will be adding new players to get up to the 12

man roster, don't expect him to make wholesale changes.

You wouldn't start to build a brick house, then, in the

middle of construction, decide to build another type

building. Same thing here. Don't look for big,

major changes and trades.
