Truly a disappointing movie, a piece of [censored]. I think my exact words, upon leaving the theatre, were "not TERRIBLE, but pretty [censored] far from good."

The performances were fine...there just wasn't any character development, esp. on Cruise's part...and the [censored]-ups, including the both predictable and horrible ending, not to mention the inconsistencies (I've never seen LA's streets so empty!)...

Man, Michael Mann dropped a huge elephant turd on this one...

There is too much talking in this movie, if i wanted to learn about life i would read a philosphy book. this is supposed to be a movie with a lot of killings and cruise acting insanely but he looks more like an old executive person

it's not that there's too much dialogue. the killings weren't the purpose of the film....but the diaglgoue failed to sustain a level of interest to fill the gaps of "action"...and, e4en with that dialogue, they stilll failed tremendously at character development.
