Lets compare the new look Hawks to the elite in the league for a minute….

Atlanta vs Sacramento

These teams are cut from the same mold. JT is a little better, but Webber is a little better. I would class these two teams as even. The bench is strong on both. The only difference could be the defense should be a little better on the Hawks if Theo leads the other players to where to be and how to play team defense.

Atlanta vs Dallas

These two teams match up is interesting, while the strengths are not at the same positions, there are a lot of similarities. Both teams have 2-20PPG players, and a 17-19PPG PG. I give the advantage to Atlanta on defense, but Dallas may run a little more.

Anyway, the point of the rant is that I believe with the current line-up, the Hawks match up with the best in the NBA (save LA Lakers). I think we need to go get a big body backup center (like Willis) to pound with Shaq when we make it to the finals. I think we could compete with them now (similar to Sacramento) but it would surely help if we had some meat to throw at Shaq in the games.
