The 1984-85 team won 34 games with the core of Wilkins, Willis, and Rivers.

They started slow the next season, 8-11 in November and 15-15 at the end of December.

They went on to win 50 games that season and 57 the next.

Just something to keep in mind as the season begins with its usual West Coast nightmare.

I think that is exactly right. We tend to have short term memory and are quick react.

I predict a slow start (west coast stuff) and this board will be lit up with we need to change things on it.

I will not settle for a 34 win season this year. With Theo healthy and Big Dog providing offense we should improve on what we did last year. Our team upgraded significantly this year. If Theo stays healthy we are bound to improve. With Big Dog in our house we pose a signficant defensive challenge to many of the teams in the east. Once we work out chemistry issues we should roll if we stay healthy and the coaching staff do their jobs.

But, that 85-86 team started slow before they really got rolling....so I am just saying keep that in perspective when this season gets started...

Sorry man, I missunderstood your post. We are on the same page. I am hoping for a 50 win season or better. If we stay healthy there will be no excusses or justifications for not doing so.
