You do realize the only way to actually prove something is to out the source(s) which would then end any further leaks or rumors. You have to decide if the info they share is believable or not. FWIW I do believe they have sources.

I would never expect that. I’m just saying the believability/truth/reliability  of his statements do not in any way depend on anyone disproving them. Their validity stems from the accuracy of how often they turn out to have been true. I don’t know his track record.

Pretty strong words. Admittedly it's hard for us rank-and-file Hawks fans to verify @NBASupes info as being Inside Stuff. But it is equally hard for you or anyone to prove that it isn't. So with those realities in place, why choose the path of mean-spiritedness, especially in the context of a fun, festive message board?

I’m not taking a side here but there’s a big problem with one thing you said. The burden of proof always falls on the person making the claim...not for others to disprove. This is fundamental.

  3. None of us really know what Trae is thinking and the organization sure as hell shouldn't make moves based on his desires alone.  Like it or not, we are still in the rebuilding phase.  Having said that, it's not controversial to say we should use a big portion of our cap space to at least try and surround him with some better, veteran talent and leadership.  But if it means making some desperate move with this 6th pick that only makes us superficially better for a year or maybe two, then screw that.  Let's see how things pan out in the coming month.

I just listened  to a guy break down some good points (not about this trade specifically) about Jrue.

Based on what he said, I think that we could be getting Jrue.

Also based on what he said, I think it could be a three team deal:

    Atlanta Gets Jrue.

    Pelicans get #2.

    GS gets #6 and #13.

Why...  GS is really high on Obi Toppin.  Sees him as the perfect pick and roll player with Curry.

We are not interested in another diaper dandy.  Jrue is a proven commodity and he brings exactly what we need.

1 year rental or does he sign an extension.. I don't know.

However, I was listening to somebody talk about Jrue's age.  I was made to realize that Jrue is the same age as Klay and Steph.  We wouldn't turn down Klay or Steph.  Why would we turn down Jrue.

Final Answer.  Jrue to Atlanta.   GS may get in on some of this though... or they go to Chicago.

Us getting Jrue sounds like a Hawks deal from the past.....gets us to mediocre yet competitive but still far from a championship contender.  I'll take the chance on still building a young core.  Pass!!

  5. Hayes or Haliburton.  I'd be good with either.  But let's not kid ourselves into thinking Hayes and his left hand domination isn't a little concerning.  We don't hear about right hand dominant players because almost all of them have at least a respectable ability to show left hand skill in some way, shape, or form.  This kid literally never does anything right handed.

  6. Damn it.  I am currently using youtube tv but was just going to switch to hulu live + before the Hawks season started.  So much for that.  I REFUSE to give AT&T Now $80/month and I'm not going back in time to stupid cable and/or satellite.

Soooo what are some recommended vpn providers and is it complicated to get it set up?

No objections but is it just IR spots or Covid spots?

So it turns out that if a player actually gets COVID, I believe they can be put on IR. If a player is on a team that has their game postponed due to COVID, but that player specifically hasn’t been diagnosed with COVID, they’re not eligible for IR. However, in the case of the current week, the chiefs and pats are , as of now, playing Monday or Tuesday and those players will count towards this week’s stats(week 4). The Titans and chiefs are rescheduled for October 25th.

So my decision as a commissioner to try and minimize frustrations for this week and in the future weeks if we continue to have COVID cause fantasy chaos, was to go ahead and add 2 IR spots(which I should have done from the beginning anyway) and I’ve expanded the rosters to have one more bench spot which will essentially help to minimize having to add/drop players frantically during weeks like this.  So if you haven’t already, go see if anyone on your rostert can be moved to IR and fill that extra empty bench slot. In fact, I’m considering adding one more bench spot after the games this week.

The only issue is the suddenness of these changes and wanting everyone in the league to know so they can be the first to get free agents. I’m personally waiting until before games start Sunday to try and give everyone else first shots at free agents so it won’t seem like I’m trying to be first to grab extra bench depth.

I just want the league to continue to be fun and hopefully everyone realizes these circumstances are unprecedented. I certainly think the commissioners doing the upcoming squawk basketball leagues should consider bench expansion before the draft and making sure there’s plenty of IR spots beforehand so they’re not scrambling like me to try and fix issues after the fact.

  8. Hey guys and gals. Due to the recent outbreaks and subsequent game cancellations, I’m leaning heavily towards adding two IR spots that will, I think in the long run, be more fair for everyone moving forward. To be honest, I keep forgetting every year to add one IR spot and really should have done so from the beginning this year with the threat of COVID-19 game postponements. So please let me know if there’s any objections as clearly changing league settings on the fly like this could be seen as unscrupulous. Hopefully it won’t be seen that way given the special circumstances we’re under. Thanks everyone!!!  @AHF @Sothron @Diesel @Spud2nique @Buzzard @capstone21

  9. I cannot back this up with anything rational but I'm starting to just get a feeling Haliburton is going to be something special.  I know Vassell might be the safer 3 and D pick and Okoro the safer solid D with potential shooting, but dang there's something in Tyrese's game that just keeps me watching.

I don't think so honestly. I think it's a cop out. Givony was close to TS. He was saying it's to sell tickets. But honestly, people questioned Luka ability to lead on championship team. It wasn't this no brainer decision for teams who want to rebuild and add talent. If it wasn't for the dumb Knicks and that stupid trade. There is a great chance Dallas would just be Memphis 2.0 right now. Good team with a nice future. Not a young contending type team

Soooo Luka didn't lead Madrid to the Euroleague title in 2018(a league considered to be second only to the NBA) and win MVP of that tournament at age 18?

  11. I still feel like Hayes will be available at 6.  Okoro, I believe, will not likely be available.  If somehow Avdija slides to 6 though, he my guy.  Honestly, as long as we didn't slide to 7 or 8, we'll get a good player with good upside that might be the best player in the draft.
