  1. Sounds like you've got your mind set on Conley falling in the draft to bad for you it's actually Yi that's falling instead. Good thing the world doesn't revolve around what goes on in your head are we would all be seriously f.....
  2. Jersey sells are split among the teams in league. The hawks would only get something like 1/8 per jersey sold in China. It would be hard for Yi to sell a lot of jerseys in the U.S. while coming off the bench for the hawks.
  3. Quote: I think you also have to look at this from the ownership's perspective as well. Think of how many of these new jerseys will be sold in China if the Hawks draft Yi. It would be a big marketing boon for the Hawks. I could care less about how many jersey's the hawks sell. I'm more concerned about winning games. Maybe the ownership is thinking the same thing and that's why Yi is most likely not in the mix at the #3 pick. He's a project, his numbers next year wouldn't be any better than Marvin's rookie numbers. Also I wouldn't won't Mike Woodson anywhere near another international player. The hawks are a BAD fit for Yi.
  4. Quote: I believe that Conley will drop to LAC on draft day. Just like I believe your on some illegal drugs!
  5. He can't shoot yet he shot over 50 percent from the field. Acie Law at best is just another Jason Terry. Yi is more likely to be available at #11 than Conley.
  6. Diesel, I mean seriously its time for you to put down the pipe, the bong, the needle, the bottle, the funny pills or whatever the hell you've been using, and get back on your prescribed medicines. You are in a severe state of illusion; a.k.a "the twilight zone".
  7. Quote: According to my spies, Crittenton looked the most physically impressive (as expected) but that Law was no slouch in that department and clearly appeared to be the most advanced offensive player (again, no surprise there). Yet Gordon was the most tenacious defender and the most pleasantly surprising of the three (as should have been expected since he isn’t as highly regarded as his workout partners). Another spy said there was basically no difference between the three guys (he actually ranked Gordon and Crittenton ahead of Law, and reiterated that Gordon stood as much or more than anyone), though the upside for Crittenton is hard to ignore. And some people on the squawk swear that Law is the best point guard in the draft, yet he didn't look any better than Crittenton or Gordon!
  8. Quote: Quote: Quote: Conley is not a franchise PG, if he was, he wouldn't be a reach at 3. He's a solid PG, but he's not gonna be a star, and Andre Miller type. Just like people said Chris Paul wasn't going to be a star. I didn't think so. W That's already been done on the squawk, but some how you've conveniently missed it like Chad Ford's latest mock draft where Conley is in the top 5 and Yi is...
  9. Quote: Conleys offensive game is getting to the whole, laws is shooting outside, and I see crittenton a little in between. He just seems like a better choice because he has the build where he can play SG for us. I see another Deron Williams in him. Who opens up more easy basket opportunities for teammates a shooter are a guy who can drive to the rim and draw another defender? If we trade the 3 pick I prefer Crittenton over Law with the 11 pick.
  10. Quote: Paul carried his team at wake forest, and im not sure if conley could have carried ohio state with out oden. Paul had another year of college than conley and showed more offensive game. The offensive side is where conley will be hurting. Conley carried Ohio State the first half of the season while Oden was out. He carried them in the NCAA Tournament while Oden was sitting on the bench with foul trouble. We don't need Conley to average 20PPG we need him to be the general on offense and defense directing his teammates. Let me ask you this, what impact on the games will Law have when his shot is not falling? There is a reason Conley is a second tier player and Law and Crittenton are...
  11. I agree a real head coach is really the #1 need of the Hawks. Unfortunately Knight and Woodson are good friends and Knight most likely will keep making excuses and won't fire his friend. See: Jim Mora Jr. & Greg Knapp
  12. Quote: Conley is not a franchise PG, if he was, he wouldn't be a reach at 3. He's a solid PG, but he's not gonna be a star, and Andre Miller type. Just like people said Chris Paul wasn't going to be a star. There's a reason Conley is a second tier player (Odem and Durant are the only first tier players) and Law and Crittenton are fourth tier players.
  13. Where is Conley? That's right in the top 5. Where's Yi? Barely in the top 10. Look at Chad Ford's mock draft where is Conley compared to Yi. Look at the mock drafts on foxsports. How is Conley at reach 3 and Yi isn't.
  14. Yeah lets not pass on another franchise point guard for another project forward at a redundant position.
  15. Maybe the Bucks won't have a chance to select Conley. It's either Conley or Horford at #4 for Memphis.
  16. Yeah and I talked to Fidel Castro last night and he told me that Cuban Cigars are going to become legally shipped to the U.S. this year.
  17. Quote: Conley = Avery. Thats Will not Johnson. Your brain = On drugs
  18. Quote: "Law or Crittenton would just continue the Hawks trend of allowing the opposing point to go to the hole at will." I think crittentons upper body strength and height will help him body up smaller guards. Law may be a defensive liability but is quick. It not about upper body strength to defend quick guards it more about being able to move your feet. Conley's wingspan is just as long as Crittenton if not longer. Mike's also stronger than Javaris. I like Crittenton more than Law but he's going to have come off the bench for a while behind a veteran, he just not ready to come in and run an offense right now even if it is Woody's. As for Yi he could become a good player in the league, I just don't see it happening with the Hawks. We all know what happened with Diaw, and then Batista couldn't even get off the bench yet he's better than Bi Lo.
  19. Have you watched the post season? Even Deron Williams couldn't slow down Tony Parker from driving to the hoop. Conley is the best point guard in the draft. Law or Crittenton would just continue the Hawks trend of allowing the opposing point to go to the hole at will. Yi is a prospect forward at 22 years old! Parker has made my point for me if you were watching tonight you would see that. Even Billups had trouble slowing down Gibson in the last series.
  20. So who would get in more foul trouble guarding the post Yi or Horford?
  21. Quote: Quote: Yi is just to much of a mystery to me. If he's so great why is this the first year where hearing about him. Unlike Yao Ming who we heard about for years before he came over. I mean China is only the most populous country in the world. Because you don't follow International basketball. Yi's name has been around since 2002. The guy has 3 titles. He's actually had more popularity than Yao because there weren't as many fans of basketball in China back then. Championships in the CBA (Chinese Basketball League) its not exactly the Euro league.
  22. Quote: Quote: Have you seen Yi play one full game? Youtube clips don't count. Can Yi guard Dwight Howard, Eddy Curry, Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal? Shaq doesn't have any more than 2 years left. Curry is the softest big man ever, and O'Neal is headed to the Lakers. As far as Dwight Howard, you think Horford can defend him? Horford would do a heck of a better job than Yi. Horford is a Power Forward while Yi is just a forward. Howard is way to strong and physical for Yi to handle him in the post. Yi would be in to much foul trouble to have an impact.
  23. That deal makes no since for the bulls they have no space for Childress. They already have Deng and Andres Nocioni at the 3 and they drafted Thabo Sefolosha last year.
  24. Quote: We need offense before defense. We were last in the league in scoring at 93 ppg. We were 15th in defense while giving up 98. The defense wasnt great but it wasnt as bad as everyone says it was around here. The offense lost us more games especially late when no one would step up besides joe. We were also 2nd to last in field goal percentage and last in 3 pt percentage. That's why you take the best point guard! The team needs someone to run the offense. Not only will Conley run the offense but he will set up easy opportunities for fast break points. With his wingspan he deflects a lot of passes and gets plenty of steals. Also with that wingspan and his feisty defense he patronizes the opposing point guard.
  25. Yi is just to much of a mystery to me. If he's so great why is this the first year where hearing about him. Unlike Yao Ming who we heard about for years before he came over. I mean China is only the most populous country in the world.
