Are you serious? THJ, worked hard over the last 16months to buy into Bud's system and now he is 25years old and the 3rd leading scorer on the Hawks. And your answer is to trade him b/c you are not sold on him? Wake UP HAWKS FANS!!! His career progression Arc (to date) is actually similar to Jimmy Butler from a numbers progression. Now Hardaway needs to continue to work on his defense, but him and Dennis in the backcourt could be very potent provided they continue to improve. The problem is we overpaid for Bazemore's energy but his skillset is no where near Hardaway's and Baze is two years older. How will we ever be successful if we don't continue to grow and refine the talent we have in place.

We can play with two PFs...This is the new NBA and yes Millsap will be gone..

This summer should be interesting, our GM doesn't seem to like the word rebuild...If we are reloading should the Hawks go after Griffin? Or just be content on hoping the lottery odds fall into our favor in 2018?

Well, for starters - it keeps them out of over bidding situations....If you're the Kings you need some leadership and support to help your team grow. Why not pay SAP to anchor the young team.

According to the Windhorst vid - the Hawks are fielding offers for SAP, (Kings, Suns, Nuggets,), not sure what value we will be getting back but it looks like our new GM is going for the complete rebuild. But unfortunately, we don't have high draft picks to draft a star player this year.

The Shooting Guard position is the one we need to watch the most....THJ needs to be able to beat Korver for the starting job at that position, and allow for Korver to provide a spark off the bench. THJ is more athletic and could really come into his own this season. Really interested in seeing Bud's rotational pattern.

it's a simple math equation....I agree Westbrook is a pipe dream, but if the Hawks don't trade Milsap, then we will be in the exact same spot has OKC management with Durant this summer. the only problem is we won't get much value for SAP in Feb.

Yes but we fiscally can't sign Milsap....why not take a risk on Westbrook, if he leaves then he leaves,...plus I think that team could really challenge for the East this season!

The short answer: YES With the salary Cap ballooning to 109mill next year for teams and given how well Milsap has been playing he would command a contract of 4yr/100million range at the very least. Now that would be ok if he was 26, but not at 32....Not sure how much Howard would cry about a retooling effort, but we have to move Milsap this offseason, b/c his value diminishes as the season starts and Milsap would be a fool to not take the big payday elsewhere. Plus he knows the Hawks tried to move him last week, before good ole Al put an end to that. your move Bud...we need a good player in return. could the Hawks go all in....and risk losing it all by going after a superstar?
