  1. Still curious why Hardaway Jr. hasn't seen the floor yet, his defense definitely has to improve, but it's hard to believe that he can't beat out Patterson (who i like), and Holiday... One thing is for sure...The Hawks are deep at the SG position.....GO HAWKS
  2. I'm excited to see him play....I think he could be a star in our system...Needs to improve shot selection and play of course defense... GO BLUE & GO HAWKS
  3. Patterson just doesnt have the atheltic ability that GR3 has...I really don't expect him to play much at all.
  4. Yea...he has way more talent than Peterson...but oh well
  5. I keep reading this threads saying "We need a SF now that Demare is gone", but please keep in mind that no one was excited about our SF crop this time last season. We all thought Thabo would be the man and look how things turned out... With that said, GR3 was the type of player who always defended well in college at Michigan and he scored his points without plays being run for him...If we put him in a pass happy system like Atlanta, which coincidentally is what Michigan ran during his first two years and the team flourished. Now I'm not comparing college to NBA, but there has to be a reason Bud brought him in at the last minute. Hardaway Jr. and GR3 reunited in Atlanta could be a nice future...I hope he makes the team.
  6. We are done in free agency...we will probably add GR3 or Lamar Patterson to complete the 15man roster. I'm hoping for GR3 GO BLUE!!
  7. As a Michigan Wolverine - I certainly hope he makes our team...Robinson has a ton of potential..
  8. Just for kicks, here are my early projections for next season. EAST 1) Cleveland- another year to gel should help this team a ton, health is a concern but they have a monster frontcourt 2) Hawks- weaving in Splitter, Hardaway Jr; make take some time to develop chemistry, while figuring out how to make up for Carroll's departure, and overall team health (korver, thabo). 3) Bulls - If they stay healthy will be very tough; if they stay healthy 4) Miami- this team looks great on paper, can they stay healthy, do they have depth? 5) Bucks - maybe poised for a break out year, especially if Parker gets back 100% 6) Toronto- should be alot tougher with a lock down defender in Caroll 7) Wizards - losing Pierce hurts, but they have one of the best backcourt's in the league -which will keep them in the hunt. 8) Hornets- will fend off the Pacers for this spot, but it will come down to the wire. West 1) Spurs - No debating this point after getting LMA 2) Golden State - well they are the defending Champs but have you seen the Spurs starting 5. 3) OKC- Westbrook, Durant & Ibaka oh my...can they stay healthy 4) Memphis - blue collar team will be physical and tough as usual. 5) Mavericks- have to fix their pg position, but adding Deandre Jordan makes them relevant. 6) Rockets - They are not a well balance team but Harden, Howard should secure this spot 7) Clippers- Now we will see how they play without a rim protector 8) Pelicans- Anthony Davis is this good people, and he should be able to fend off the Suns & Trailblazers.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJotAdtzHEI I figure it will take him at least him 2 years in Buds system to really contribute on both ends of the floor. Glad we brought him over to be in our development program. Hawks are building something special.
  10. I don't want no parts of anyone from that Denver team....they quit just to get the coach fired...No thank you...
  11. I actually like Glenn Robinson, and like most young players he needs to learn to effect the game on ends of the floor.
  12. My thoughts exactly
  13. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2512495-atlanta-hawks-arent-going-anywhere-after-re-signing-paul-millsap
  14. I agree....we have a damn good team...we maybe a little undersize at the SF spot for the first half of the season atleast until Thabo gets healthy
  15. So far this has been one of the best offseasons for the Hawks and we still have months before the season start. Splitter, knows the spurs way so he shouldnt miss a step. We still need a SF, which leads me to believe the Hawks may work on a package to go after Tobias Harris. In any case when it's all said and done we should be a top 3 team in the East.
  16. I agree, if the young guys improve, then we could have a great team by playoffs
  17. If we get Ellis, then maybe we are thinking of moving Hardaway Jr the SF spot....
  18. Oh great...a college player with no experience who would of NOT SEEN THE FLOOR....enough with this Oubre talk...We are trying to win a championship not barely make the playoffs.. Wake UP Hawks Fans.... We got an ALL ROOKIE TEAM SG just one year removed, to get mentored under Korver......It's so funny how Hawks fans lose faith so quickly...NO ONE KNEW WHO Demarre was until he came into Bud's system. Have some faith...
  19. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/basketball/paul-millsap-agrees-to-deal-with-atlanta-hawks/nmqLR/ 3yr/ 59mill GO HAWKS..
  20. HAWKS FANS...GET OUT OF THE ATLANTA SPIRIT MANAGEMENT GROUP Thinking Our owner already said he is willing to pay the luxury tax to bring a contender to ATLANTA... A good offseason so far, we need a SF though to really make this a great one, and of course we need to keep Milsap
  21. This was actually a good beginning to the offseason....the season doesn't start until the fall... We got a big man that can be physical and help rebound, a SG that was on the all rookie team just a year ago, with basically no coaching whatsoever....Once he gets in Bud System, i expect him to improve and compete for our starting SG position... I hate to pay that much for Milsap, but the Salary Cap will raise next year due to the revenue sharing, we will not be strapped after nexte season anyway.....Now if we can also get Tobias Harris then I think we are back to ECF and things will be different. GO HAWKS
