Hawks fans please wake up !!!! We already have Sheldin Williams, ok so he doesnt have the upside that Horton has but he is and will be a solid player in the league. He average a double double when he was healthy the last few games....Please please Please trade Hofford for a starting low post player. Hofford is a solid player but and he is "ready to play now" but hell so was and is Sheldin Williams. How quickly we forget the "Landlord ready to play now spin that the analyst throughout last year around this time. COME ON HAWKS FANS.

I worked in marketing before...usually you try to close the deal right then and there...he told me the hawks will acquire a marqee player like amare, or another high profile deal they will have a high volume of sales. I expressed that I was skeptical and he replied I WILL Call you on Friday Afternoon to hear my tone as if a deal would be done by then. Hey I'm a consultant i know about sales, marketing and business deal. You dont make future gurrantees unless your either Pete Babcock (Playoff Gurrantee), Detroit Lions or infact have a deal in the pipeline. And you cant really blame babcock for his gurrantee he had SAR, BIG DOGG, and Theo and JT. Hell i even thought we would make the playoffs then. Sorry for the bad memories guys..

Over the last few weeks since the actually lottery I have been in contact with the sales office for season tickets information. I actually established a pretty good rapport with a rep and told him 3 weeks ago depending on the draft will determine if i buy season tickets. Nonetheless, he called me today trying to gage my interest and told me that he anticipates a buzz and an immediate increase in season ticket sales. He was convinced that after the draft the Hawks will have an enormous jump in ticket sales brought on by a trade. Take it for what its worth... He said he would call me again on Friday to give me an update on seating availabilities. Apparently the marketing dept believes it will be very busy...that could mean Staudemire, YI or maybe something else not discussed.

Please give Marvin a break. Its not like the kid is averaging 4pts a game. Marvin is averaging 13pts, 5rbs a game. He will be ok. Here is a thought. Lets see how Marvin plays next to a legitimate pure pg. That is the Hawks problem right now no one healthy enough to actually penetrate kick out or simply run an offense. Marvin is on schedule and if he stays healthy will average 17pts and 7rbs next season. Josh Smith takes too many bad shots, hopefully he gets a better shot selection or he will turn into God Forbid Antoine Walker.

Rest assured we are NOT getting Ridnour for the 11th pick, b/c that would mean we would owe luke 18mill over 3 years and 20Mill for speedy.

Only if we are able to get Amare, why not go after another pure experience pg like Chris Duhon. He plays solid Defense, can hit the open shot and definitely could get other players involve..Plus he is cheap.

Maybe we can include Childress, Lue and get Barbosa from Phoenix...Oh boy how sick would that be....What a dream

Yea the Ridnour trade didnt make sense at all...he is owed...19.5mill over the next 3 years...we already speedy's contracts on the books..No Thanks Seattle

I really hate giving up both picks, why not give up the #3, Childress, Zaza, plus filler to make the trade work... It still doesnt solve our PG issue. The two trades i guessing is Amare, or maybe Gasol RIdnour trade doesnt make sense since we are already paying speedy a boat load...why in Hell would we pay Ridnour remaing contract aswell...Hell for Speedy and Ridnour contracts we could afford to grab Chauncey...

Hey Sothron, I really hope your wrong about Knight drafting Wright. The Kid maybe good in 3 years but we missed the playoffs for 8years now...god knows we dont want to wait 3 more. I agree that Hofford is very similiar to Shelden Williams. Although Hofford maybe a little better i would still grab YI or Conley. Its time the Hawks get smarter. We were lucky to get two lottery picks in the first place. If knight doesnt get a pass first pg then he is AN IDIOT. I wouldnt be as mad with the YI PICK but Wright will make me furious.....

Its no secret that the Hawks need low post scoring, and its also no secret that BK has been contacted by most NBA teams. BK appears to be playing his cards right this time- appearing to show interest in many players with the 3rd pick, YI, Hofford, Wright and secretly coveting Conley. Knight knows that teams covet YI and Hofford the most even though they dont necessarily fit into the Hawks scheme. The embarrasment of getting Anthony Johnson at the trade deadline illustrates how desperate we the Hawks needed a PG. Conley would definitely silence the critics and keep BK's job if the hawks make the playoffs next year. BK tract record of drafting the best player available (Forwards) is actually working in his favor this year. As many GMs covet Hofford and YI. Why is so many people bashing Sheldin Williams, I read that people want to trade him for Brendan Hayword...I mean are you guys out of your mind. Sheldin Williams will be a solid 10 / 10 player in the mold of Antonio Davis...He will never lead us in scoring, and will not win the Dunk Contest. I know he had a shoulder injury for most of the season but he look at his last five games. He average 15pts and 11rbs. Tell me anywhere that scrub Hayword average that most over a 3game period. THe Hawks Need a PG and a Low Post Threat. I actually think Gasol would fit good at the Center, but i would only give up Childress, Lue, Wrigth and a draft pick for him. Or the lesser alternative would be to find a way to draft YI and Conley. YES I THINK IT WAS A Stretch TO TAKE SHELDEN AT THE #5 pick. He should of went around 9 or 10. Nonetheless, he will be a solid contributor that brings toughness and grit to our team. GO Hawks.

I think the Hawks would like to take YI with the 3rd pick, however the problem I see is fitting into Woodsons system. I personally dont think Woodson is capable of coaching a team with alot of talent. He is from the Larry Brown school which likes to play defense which is good, but his substitution patterns are horrendous and I'm not sure he knows what to do with the talent. If the Hawks dont make the playoffs he is gone. Anyways I like Conley and feel that he would be a tremendous asset to the Hawks, however YI will be an amazing player in the right situation. I wouldnt be suprise either way. BK is feeling alot of pressure for not selecting a pg in the last two drafts. I have heard from a reliable source that the Hawks are looking strongly at Law / Critenton with the 11th pick. Keep in mind that we have speedy under contract for the next 3years for 17mill. We are not going to turn the keys over to a Freshman. Thats why i think Critenton will be behind Speedy. So this is where youve been hiding Sothron. I remember you and Jaywalker from the espn board.

Just give it up Hawks fans....no one wants speedy big a$$ contract. Lue is hurt so is untradeable. The only thing is trading Ivey for a 2nd rounder. Which basically leaves us back at square one. Hawks Need Mike Bibby. The Question is will the Hawks do what it takes to get Bibby. I really like Childress alot but the Hawks should trade Childress, Speedy and a 1st pick for Mike Bibby.

I was going to post that chat....I usually never agree with these ESPN chat guys but he got this one right. The Hawks need to get a low post defender. Shelden Williams is just that. All of this point guard talk is truly amazing, Ok so JJ is not the prototype PG, but he did avarage 6.5 ast per game so I would say he did a good job. Secondly, we should give the Salim experiment one more chance, and I think thats whay BK wants to do. The rumored trade with Houston would also work out well, that way we would have some insurance just in case Salim doesnt respond well. I sincerely believe the Hawks will explore some trade opportunities. I trust BK, but I'm not sold on Woodson...GO HAWKS
