Anyone who disagrees with Walter on Shelden seriously needs help. Did anyone see the play he just made with about 3 and 1/2 minutes left in the third? He totally acted like a girl, putting his hands up jogging, afraid to touch the ball, allowing Kidd to steal the ball. At least he got back to make a touch foul! I had hopes for Shelden, but after watching him play a lot, he is one of the softest players I have ever seen. What a wasted pick!

Did you read anything that TP or I wrote? Or even the post you just quoted above from Ex? If you had and could comprehend, then you would know that I do not get excited about fleeting wins. I know too much about basketball to feel good about our situation. I do really like a couple of our players though. Most of these guys, coaches included, do not measure up to my standards of what a Hawk should be.

I'm in. I'm 5'7". I would like to think that I'm a little more but a squawk reader and buddy I play ball with tells me I'm like Chris Childs. lol! (I hit big shots and can only work in an offense) I'm pretty sure that's a dis. But an apt one. I can shoot the three with confidence, pass, hustle for loose balls, and play great team defense. I am severely lacking in the "handles" area! We could play at the Run n' Shoot or Center Court on Memorial Dive. I could think of a few more places but those are the first two that come to mind. I also know a quiet, really nice Gym with Glass backs and breakaway rims. It's one long court with two short courts running across. It's off of interstate 20 going east of Atlanta. Maybe a thirty minute drive from Midtown.

I think you are being nice with the next to last option. We need to have a discussion on what "competing hard" is. I think if you come out flat and not ready, then chop a lead late, you haven't really competed hard. You were in a fog for a large chunk of the game. Why are so many people blind to this? Execution is part of playing hard. Mental awareness is part of competing. We lose because we DON'T play hard enough.
