  1. Quote: you have to remember that LA has the best big man coach in the league in kareem abdul-jabbar. it's taken him three years of work to get him this good. i don't think he would have been as good if we had drafted him. it's not like we've done a good job with developing bigs (solomon, bautista). what we are good at is getting the most out of swingmen. He also took Kobe's words last summer to heart and now is doing everything possible to prove to Kobe that he belongs there.
  2. SG Joe Johnson SF Josh Howard (taken in 2003 instead of Boris Diaw) How could we have gotten Josh Howard instead of Boris Diaw and still got Joe Johnson????????!!!! There are some real geniuses out there!
  3. Well I would love to hear what they have to say about the hawks now...
  4. might as well go for history even though they will put an asterisk by it.
  5. That is just too funny where do you find all of these pictures?
  6. Quote: The Glanville era was the best time to be a fan (next to the days of Bartkowski/Andrews/Cain/Francis/Johnson/Miller and Jenkins). 2Legit to Quit!!! Tickets for Elvis. and the semi return of the gritz blitz. If he and June Jones could get along together, that would be a funny team that might be pretty good. I remember Deion dancing to MC Hammer after scoring a touchdown.....man those were the days
  7. I would love to see Bill Cowher come and coach the falcons no matter how funny looking he is, he was a pretty good coach. I think we need someone with an attitude like his to kick some of the players in the a-- and get them to play like real men! :mr-t:
  8. It was a great win last night and even though Miami is our rival it was still sad to see Alonzo go down like that. They said that will most likely be the last game of his career. He is definately a warrior and i'm sure he will make it into the hall of fame. Things are really looking bad for miami now. I don't think Mark Blount can carry the load.
  9. Quote: Very solid win that I was not expecting us to get. Way to go Hawks! Yea I had written that one off as a loss and almost didn't watch it but I am glad I did!
  10. Quote: Boozer had an off game. He can easily toy with them. Im very interested in this matchup as I feel Boozer is the best comparison to Horford. It should be a good matchup. I always thought Horford was a Okafor clone but maybe thats just me. He does have a lot of the same attributes as Boozer also.
  11. Quote: I am glad he is ok. Good to see him out there tonight. yea its a good thing cant afford to lose anyone else
  12. yea everybody is pretty close right now but at least we are sitting in sixth right now. Utah should be a tough game, I dont know if we can handle them. But then we have a good few very winnable games after that.
  13. Quote: Maybe Thabeet slips to the second round. Yea I forgot about Thabeet isn't he about 7'3"? Him or Hibbert. I haven't really been paying attention to college hoops a whole lot. I usually catch in around tournament time.
  14. yea that lineup sucked pretty bad
  15. Does anybody know what draft picks the Hawks will have this year? I know it is a long ways away but I was just wondering what picks we will have this year since phoenix will have our first round pick. And if there is any way we could get a pick to get Hibbert or Hansbrough this year.
  16. Quote: Quote: Right now it seems like we'd be better off taking a flyer on a shooter from the D-league than keeping Solo or West on the active roster. I totally agree. There's gotta be someone in the D-League that can score way better than these guys. Jerry McNamara is a pretty good shooter from the d-league we could swap him out for solomon
  17. Quote: The Hawks barely had a chance at beating them. There is nothing to take away from this game. I agree, the Hawks are a decent team this year.....however we are just no match for the pistons. They were just toying with us the whole night!!!! Maybe if we had everybody we would have had a chance but with the team we came out with last night there was no chance. They just need to forget about that game and focus on beating the lesser teams like the bobcats tonight.
  18. Quote: I think they are best the crowd in the NBA. They are into just about every play. Their players feed off the energy. They have stuck by the Warriors even through the struggles. I can't help but be envious of them. I really wished we had that kind of strong fan support and energy for the Hawks. That crowd won the game for them last night....they were definately the sixth man
  19. Quote: I know I am not the only one who is sick of seeing Smoove pretending to be a 4 but not having the skills to score in the low post? When we had started making a comeback in the 3rd and then on one play AJ was looking to throw it in to Smoove who was posting up his man I was saying to myself "No please don't give it to Josh." All he does is throw up does lame as hook shots that he isn't even trying to guide in the basket. It looks like he is just tossing it up towards the basket hoping it will go in. It's time we face facts that Josh Smith isn't really a skilled player. He needs to be on a team that either has good outside shooters so that he want have to shoot the longrange jumper or a team that consistently runs, so he can get easy points. If it was possible at all to trade Josh Smith for someone like Andrew Bynum I would do it in a heartbeat. We should at least experiment around maybe with him at the 3, Horford at 4 and Lo at 5 and see how that works out.
  20. Quote: If AJ plays well all year we may NEED him back. At the very least as a good backup to ACie. I agree AJ might not be a great PG but he has been doing a halfway decent job as of late. He might not be a good shooter but he has been getting around 6 or 7 assists a game, which is serviceable. And with Lue and speedy's injury problems he has been the only one that can stay healthy.
  21. Quote: Just thinking about the Mitchell report and guessing who in this leage could have been on the Roids? 1. Karl Malone 2. Alonzo. 3. B. Wallace. 4. Bron 5. Dwight Howard. 6. Josh Smith?? 7. Jason Richardson. 8. Shaq? (First year Miami) 9. Etan Thomas 10. Nene 11. Oden 12. McDyess After last night, I'm suspecting Andre Bynum might have also. He beefed up over the summer and now he is looking like a beast out there. Last night sure looked like a roid rage to me.....he was about to kill that ref
  22. Quote: Back acne is a telltale sign on steroid use in some cases...at least that's what I've heard. That is right....so we have definately have zaza pegged
  23. I guess A-Rod got rewarded for not being on the list in the amount of $275 million. Looks like they think he is baseball's last hope.
