  1. What's funny is people can't see what's right in front of them until it's all said & done... For all those looking outwardly for stars I think this year is either going to leave mouths wide open in shock of how good these guys are or mouths closed from people realizing how consistent our team & players have become.
  2. Horford and Sap will be dynamic together even more or atleast as much as they were at the start of last season. Two bigs that can run the floor, spread the court and hold their own on the defensive end and to top it off both are good passers and above average rebounders!! They are going to be hard to defend ala Josh & Al with a take away on the defensive side but adding more competency... (Sorry Josh but you are what you show not what you know.) DON'T SLEEP ON TEAGUE!! Would you sleep on Westbrook??? Well Teague's better (Yeah I said It no homerism!!) Teague is just as athletic but has more arsenals on the offense end and understands the flow of the game a lot better... They are both pest on defense when engaged so I'll deem that a tie. Teague doesn't always play with the aggression that Westbrook consistently plays with but as Teague continues to gain that killer instinct he will help win more games. Preseason games are preseason games but believe me our players know when it's game time it's game on!! Expect the players I mentioned above to play like the stars they are knowing that they have young replacements behind them as well as a deep overall team and bench where everyone knows they have to earn their spot and minutes....
  3. I've been saying Al is more of an asset at center than power forward for the longest and believe the experts agree!! That's why not one GM that we've had has changed that thought or position. Last year pre injury Horford would have been a super star because he was putting up superstar numbers and living up to super expectations. Unfortunately he has to start over a bit as far as proving himself but he has a strong cast and system to work with and regain status if he remains healthy...
  4. To be honest it looks like a drunk email of him expressing the truth as he saw it. It's new times though & as a business man he should be coming up with better ways to work with the demographic he has rather than trying to make moves of old. You understand your base okay so how do you capitalize? What he doesn't understand is we are the biggest consumers regardless of our money situations but how do you appeal to our interest? It's not a color thing might be a cultural thing & yes Atlanta is a unique city made-up of plenty culture's & transits. I was a season ticket holder last year & couldn't get as much as a t shirt or a cup holder for my drinks. How does that make your season tickets sale when we don't feel any more special than the average fan? The college kids were a great idea although they can get offensive at times but why not have 2 sets on opposite ends of the court? I cheered with them because they got me excited but our section would be the only ones cheering in the whole building at times. Why is one side of the arena full & the other side empty & we constantly choose to show the empty side on our broadcast? Simple business strategies could correct or improve our crowd that just wasn't being made.

    NBA 2k15

lol.smh Milsap... He probably should have looked it up or read enough of our countless threads to realize that it is Millsap with 2 l's before posting.
  6. Proud to see Teague growing up and pray he stays healthy!! I love his mindset. Teague has all the talent and potential to put it together and now is dealing with the right coach and right system to showcase it all !! I already thought Teague would truly have a breakout year but now I know barring injury Teague is going to show just how special a player he is!!
  7. I was a season ticket holder last year and if I can get my finances up to par I'll be one again this year.
  8. Last Year we went all most the entire year with this roster and a new system. Starters Jeff Teague (still gaining confidence) Kyle Korver (record breaking 3's) Demarre Carroll (better than expected) Paul Millsap (see Demarre) Pero Antić ( big Surprise but not spectacular) Bench Shelvin Mack (servicable, reliable) Lou Williams (disappointing after injury) Cartier Martin ( potential but not spectacular) Mike Scott (often best scorer off bench and most entertaining) Elton Brand ( pleasant surprise and defensive anchor) Dennis Schröder (rookie) Mike Muscala ( late addition rookie) Gustavo Ayón (big body no Zaza) Even thinking about going to the playoffs last year with this roster would have been laughable... A Year later, a year bonded and a year with better concept of the system we have Starters Jeff Teague (more focused with something to prove) Kyle Korver (3 point status to defend) Demarre Carroll ( something more to prove and hungry and grateful for opportunity) Paul Millsap ( Allstar) Al Horford (Allstar) Bench Shelvin Mack/Dennis Schröder (very formidable backcourt/backup guards) Kent Bazemore (mini Josh Smith as far as energy athleticism and hustle are concerned but more of a team player and better shooter) Thabo Stefalosha (defensive wing with a new system and new opportunity. Could have Demarre like surprise) Mike Scott (slight chip on his shoulders and more competition for playing time) /Adriean Payne ( rookie with good potential to be effective early) /Mike Muscala ( a year better and more integrated into the system) Pero Antić ( still can offer good back up minutes) John Jenkins ( can be useful if shooting stroke and confidence is found again. His rookie year he was looking to become our next Kyle Korver) Yes we came back with alot of the players from last year but all of the players we've obtained were key pieces last year and will be even better this year. With a year of familiarity with each other and the system we could be one of the biggest surprise teams of the year!!
  9. Easy to sleep on your own players but we are watching an unselfish star right in front of our eyes. Anti Westbrook!!
  10. Hilarious I literally laughed out loud..
  11. I agree but I also believe Horford and Millsap are a better Defensive combo because they can guard as far as the wing than Horford and Jefferson or Monroe. You said let the big men be big men and the one thing big men should do is defend. In this NBA defending no longer just considers protecting the paint just ask Hibbert or try guarding Love by just staying in the paint. Plenty big men in the league have or come with expanded game now of days.
  12. Hilarious that two people have to be the same to have ideas that aren't those of the average... And it's Sillent!! You'll see it later down the road so remember it so you can tell your friends I knew him he was a Hawks Squawker!!!
  13. So being mediocre & not terrible works for you. I just think Horford & Millsap are more versatile and with our offense they'll both be shooting 3's in Bud's system along with Payne. AL Jefferson not so much. It's just a system thing no offense to Jefferson but it'll be hard to stop a team that can completely spread the floor and be dangerous from literally everywhere on the court
  14. Because we do/have made switches or tried different match ups & in most cases including Bosh hitting the game winner on Horford he has come up short with getting the stop on high profile power fowards
  15. It's funny what people say in a safe place.... And I'm not the only idiot. When has Horford ever made 2nd/3rd defensive team? Yall got me talking about our players as if I'm against them when I'm just stating facts. You obviously don't know or play the game like you think you do. Another commentator.
  16. Bosh killed Smooth in Toronto? Look up the highlights. Garnett couldn't even kill Smooth in his hayday
  17. I always thought Josh was a better power forward than AL & he proved that the 1st time Horford went out for the season and he actually played most of his game in the post. The same case can be made for Millsap. Out of these top centers only Dwight & maybe eventually Drummond have Al beat if Al can return to normal form.
  18. Where is this miraculous center that would force us to move Horror to Power Forward. He would have to be great at defense like Josh to make up for Horfords average d which wouldn't make Greg Monroe a good fit but Andre Drummond Would be perfect (but not available). AL Jefferson doesn't play d neither does DeMarcus Cousins. Who is this center that would be good enough to take away Millsap's starting position and move Al Horford to power forward??
  19. How is that too many cooks when they all can play alongside each other if needed. Teague and Mack can play the two with Schröder on the court and Mack or Teague can play the 2 when either one of them are on the court. Plus it adds insurance incase of injuries which is always (sadly) a possibilty in this league. If you want to be deep anywhere it's with your on the floor coaches or head of the snake position. Of course you would like to be deep with big man enforcers too which we have done pretty good at accumilating as well.
  20. No offense to anybody wanting to put Al at the 4 but I've watched Al play at both positions and honestly he dominates more at the 5 than 4. He's been eating Roy Hibbert alive for years, plays good against Noah and holds his own against the rest of the centers of the league with one main exception being his cryptonite and that was "Dwight Howard" who is the same freakin height give or take an inch as Horford. On the other hand Bosh repeatedly abused Horford even in his Raptor days at the Poward Forward position, Josh Smith was better on David West than Horford and the same may be said for Paul. Amare Stat use to abuse Horford. Carlos Boozer even had his good showings against Horford. Lamarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love. Kevin Garnett, Dirk, Tim Duncan,Zach Randolph, Serge Ibaka and more have given Horford fits at times. Why would we want to put him in this position? Blake Griffin would abuse him but he actually does pretty decent on Deandre Jordan. He has been able to make the Allstar team twice because he played the center position. He would not even have come close or been mentioned during those times playing power forward their were too many out there better than him. All of this he needs to be a power forword crap is ludacris when you pay attention to how he actually matches up. Our Gm's have noticed this which is why none have been in a hurry to make Al Horford our "Power Forward" but most of us are so caught up on tradition we're blind to the fact that Al takes full advantage at the center position opposed to the power forward position. He's quicker than most of the opposing centers which allows him to dribble full court to make a play. He has a nice outside stroke which brings them away from their rim protecting area and out of their comfort zone. Most of the power forwards in the league don't have a problem sticking with him. Why would we want to put Horford at a disadvantage because it looks good on paper??? It sounds good until you actually pay attention to the facts that switching his position would diminish his status and productivity. Horford is a top five center in this league behind Dwight, (Maybe Mark Gasol/Noah) but you put him at power forward he'd be lucky to make top 20. Josh's attitude and bbiq at times isn't the only reason he's never made the allstar team. It's easy not to make it when it's so much competition. Congrats to Paul Millsap for not being Josh but and making it but even his status continues to be underated after carrying a team because it's too much competition!!! Sometimes it's good to just shut up and play ball because if it wasn't for him playing the center position we might've still been struggling to find an official allstar pass Joe...
  21. Al Horford, Paul Millsap, DeMarre Carroll, Kyle Korver, Jeff Teague... The starters being a year better with addition to Al Horford and more knowledge of the system might be something to marvel. Shelvin Mack, Kent Bazemore(who reminds me of a miniture Josh Smith with not just more bbiq but actually cares about more than himself(THE TEAM)).And Josh Smith is/was my favorite current player besides Dominique but Atemkoumpo "the Bucks young riser might take his place"... Back to our bench though Mack, Bazemore, Sefolosha, Scott (hoping he remains) and Payne is an explosive and defensive bench(Of course except for Scott unless he improves... Not to mention Dennis Schröder, Mike Muscala , Lamar Patterson who may replace Jenkins because he is more of a two way player and possibly Antić who can still be formatible with a year of our system under his belt. I still don't like the moving of Nougeura but Tavares might actually make sense and be worth it in a few years. His size can't be taught and he actually has plenty ability for his size so here's to hoping we have more of a hands on grooming!! All in all we are truly 10 + men deep and with our system our men will/should out perform the expectations and it truly is going to be exciting to witness. I bought season tickets last year not really thinking too great of our team but knowing every person we picked up was a competitor. This time not only do I know they compete but I know they have the talent and IQ to fit our system so it should be a fun season and I haven't even re'd up yet!!!
  22. Mainly sign & trade for most $$$ purposes. Honestly though this was a random thought that actually could happen if they wanted & I was just curious on thoughts... Bulls have been pretty good out of getting the most out of their player's (like we did last year) so I definitely wouldn't sleep on Wade
  23. What if LeBron goes back home to Cleveland, Bosh goes home to Texas and Wade goes back home to Chicago? I'm sure the Heat will sign & trade for Wiggins & other commodities. Will the East be any body's or that much harder? Would the Rockets be the "New Heat" with Harden, Bosh & Dwight? Would Wade & Rose be & play rejuvenated playing with Butler, Gibson & Noah?
  24. Real reason most are upset is because we've been patiently waiting & anticipating a big name especially with our extra cap space and Sefalosha pops up 1st hindering some cap space and guaranteeing that our big name signing want be too big.
  25. He would be our Ginobili!! A wild card that can cause nightmares with his offense off the bench or in the starting lineup. He'd be what we wanted Lou to be.
