  1. You really think he deserves credit for nearly losing to Milwaukee in 6 games. "Haha," indeed.
  2. I like how excited we get when Woody uses a *gasp* zone defense. This guy is a professional basketball coach. He's supposed to make adjustments. The fact that it took the team going down 3 to 2 against a young and injured Milwaukee team for him to decide to change things up a little just proves what a buffoon he is. You can say its the players, and I'm sure it is partially, but I don't see how anyone can say that Woody is helping matters at all.
  3. There is no way in hell Woodson should be back next year.
  4. You might be right about him being less selfish with the new contract. I hadn't thought about that. If that actually happened, the Hawks could improve. I'm not saying we shouldn't resign him, because I think the chances are pretty slim that the Hawks would luck into someone else that would make the team better. The problem is that even if he plays less selfishly, this team will never run a real offense under Woodson, and Crawford will just end up taking Joe's bad shots.
  5. LOL @ Joe doesn't play center. He plays shooting guard. And not nearly as well as some people think. He plays at the level of someone who deserves a max deal maybe once every 10 games.
  6. This. There will be no championship with Joe Johnson unless we get really lucky in the draft or someone just gives us someone in a trade. And people can quote statistics all they want, but if you actually watch Joe Johnson and then go watch players like Wade, it's easy to see how they aren't comparable. Jo vs. Crawford is a much better comparison, and Crawford won't make anywhere near max money.
  7. If Joe Johnson was half as good as some of the people on this board think he is, the team wouldn't have routinely been beaten by 20-something in the Orlando games.
  8. I think it just depends on what the team's goals are. If they just want to be competitive every year, then they might as well resign Joe. If they actually want to try and win a title, it's not happening with Joe Johnson. It probably won't happen without him either, but stranger stuff has happened.
  9. I'd much rather Jamal have the ball at the end of the game than JJ. I mean, remember that god awful layup Joe shot near the end of the game before Jamal missed the three. That was embarrassing to watch.
  10. Stupid League Pass, they blackout the Memphis games where I'm from.
  11. I don't know about that. I think the Hawks could easily take the Celtics in a 7-game series. Maybe even the Cavs. I think beating the Magic is completely out of the question, though.
  12. Oden is done. It's a shame too because I was looking forward to watching that Blazers team for years to come.
  13. What is the actual difference between accepting and not accepting a loss by your favorite pro sports team? Is it the difference in making an irate message board-post or not? This seems a little ridiculous to me.
  14. I think the Hawks are better than both Boston and Cleveland. Orlando is a pretty horrible matchup, though. I don't think we have any shot at beating them.
  15. Teague will be better than Acie if for no other reason than athleticism.
  16. It's probably the same type of deal as Childress has. The team pays all the taxes so the money they make is all theirs.
  17. I think you'd probably be surprised how similar the tax rates are between the US and China.

  20. Pretty funny given what happened tonight. Especially funny because they misspelled "distinguished."
  21. Then keep your uniformed comments to yourself. This wasn't a knock on the team at all, and I haven't been whining about much of anything all season. I'm pretty happy how stuff has gone. If you had seen Collins tonight, you'd have been amazed he was in the NBA too.
