Well they both play terrible in their own sort of way. Thomas is just a good actor, that doesn't take any skill.
-
Joe and Bibby only ones showig up tonight. Kurt Thomas makes me sick. Hawks still had their chances though.
-
This is ridiculous. To the people that want to pass on Joe, riddle me this: How do we expect to remain just as competitive next year if he walks? If you say sign Wade or Lebron, I'm going to laugh. Give me a realistic replacement or what you actually have in mind as "GM."

When's the last time our starting PG had this many assists?

And I think Teague has shown us spurts of good playing this year. I remember when nobody had anything good to say about Acie, even in extended minutes. -

I think we've all seen Teague's passing and defense abilities even in small minutes this season. he just proved what I've thought all along tonight with more minutes. The scoring is what surprised me. That is the one question mark for me still but this was a good sign and confidence booster tonight. I just don't want him to lose confidence scoring because Woody can have that affect on players. -
10 and counting. How many times did Bibby do that this season? He still has to touch up his offense but he can no doubt play some defense and dish the ball!

Did Joe Johnson find it important enough to

3 things Marvin needs to be a beast: 1. Avoid being the clumsiest driver on the planet 2. Grow some cajones and take charge more offensively...be a leader 3. Stay involved in the game even if your offense isn't there *Please note: these 3 things need to happen on a contract year for Marvin. Sadly, none of these 3 things are within reach. Either way, the overall skillset is there. He just doesn't have the mental drive with the game of basketball to put it all together. And if he hasn't at this point, he never will. I think he's satisfied just coasting through his NBA career, not doing anything significant. It fits his laid back personality.

The effort the last two games has been pathetic.

Obviously Joe isn't the reason we can't close out games. That much should be clear....it's a team problem as a whole! -
This home court ref advantage for the cavs is ridiculous. Worst I've seen this season.

SAVE IT TO YOUR HARDDRIVE! MAKE IT YOUR FRONT WALLPAPER! THIS IS EPIC!

Dwight Howard. It's hard for that dude to look serious. -
It kind of makes me happy to see the Lakers so pissed off. That means we really got to them in this game and truly frustrated them. Good job Zaza! Joe also stepped up big against Artest, a great defender.

Hawks hope Phillip's crowd isn't too friendly to Lakers
AU hawksfan replied to coachx's topic in Homecourt
Hawks fans were plenty loud and thankfully we never really gave a chance for the Lakers fans to make much noise. -
Looks like King Zaza answered the call!

I think his offensive ceiling could be like that of Brook Lopez right now if he was given a big enough role.

According to Espn we are basically stuck in the 4th seed

Actually ESPN did have it right. And surprisingly, Jon Barry was on our side: http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-100329/marion-d-shuts-melo (#2 on the daily dime). -
I keep forgetting this guy is only like 25. I still refuse to believe it, he looks like an old vet.

~HERO MODE~ fails...(again) and SMOOVE comes to the rescue.

Yep, it looks like case closed on this one. The numbers don't lie! -
Gimme a break, it wasn't even that bad when you look at the replay. I counted 3 steps from when he picked up his dribble.

Selfish JJ was the ultimate ball-hog vs. the Bucks
AU hawksfan replied to hawks21's topic in Homecourt
I think we just need to accept the Bucks loss. They are a hot team and were hitting some tough jumpers during that stretch in the 4th, not much you can do about that. As was stated, JJ was the whole reason we even managed to keep it close. Sure, there were a couple times (especially his last shot) where he should have passed but we probably wouldn't even have been in that situation without his play. Props to JJ to help carry us and keep the game close until the end! -
Yeah I noticed that as well. Other teams/players in the league seem to see us as elite, having faced us this season. I think it is more of the media that is still reluctant to put us into that category until we make some noise in the playoffs. Either way, when's the last time anyone heard the term the "Big Three" in the East used? That label is definitely gone at this point.

That's been my favorite dunk of the year so far, Josh Smith's included. That is the definition of posterized!

I know we complain a lot about people going to the games, but I must say what a great crowd last night! :thumbsupsmileyanim: And people actually stayed late at the game through OT....amazing!!!

Zaza at the end was the most hilarious!

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5002961 Just some speculation about a potential pairing of the two, but it does make sense. Hmmm......
