    Who are we going to get this summer? NBA is tough, quality free agents just hard to come by and are expensive. Seems like we might need to luck out in the draft.

    I personally think we should continue to try to win, as a matter of professional and culture. If we can get JJ and OO back we could be a solid squad.

    How do you pull the plug exactly? Should players give hard hearted effort on the court? That's not a good look. The league frowns on not playing healthy starters.

    Not better off, but we are mediocre either way, at least according to the record. Trae gives us more upside on offense if we can get the right pieces though.

    He was called up from the G league if I'm not mistaken.

    I'm glad Hawks are winning and aren't going into tank mode.

    He's in the second year of a 5 year max extension. He can't go anywhere. He has no leverage. According to insiders the team has bent over backwards to cater to his every whim. If he thinks the Lakers or the Spurs are going to afford that luxury, he's sorely mistaken. Quite frankly, there is a reasonable case to be made he's an empty stats guy whose play does not lead to wins.

    Let's see how the teams plays without Trae. He will probably miss around 15 games, that's a decent sample size. Offense might take a step back, defense might take a step forward, but those outcomes aren't guaranteed.

    Maybe they want to slowly work him in. That's the only reason I can think of.
