  1. I'm not upset about no fans. I'm upset about no Hawks. Especially when you got teams like the Wizards who didn't give a crap allowed entrance in the bubble. The league did all these gymnastics to get Zion in the bubble and he barely played. We could have been the Easter Conference version of the Suns. I feel like we were ready to gel.
  2. So the league is now allowing family and friends to enter the bubble, but still no room for us, unbelievable.
  3. I don't think sports needs protocols that go above and beyond every other industry. I still feel that way. But I strongly supported the return of the NBA, and said the product would be compelling. Many here said it would be bad basketball and/or that positive Covid tests would inevitably shut it down.
  4. Take Antman or Ball if you get #1 or #2. If you get #3 through #7 take the player that is the best fit.
  5. NBA bubble has been a rousing success. A lot of naysayers on the squawk better get some salt for that crow.
  6. They would get a better offer than Bruno and Dedmon for a package of Horford, Richardson and a protected 1st round pick. There are 30 teams in the league. Brown and Brand would never make that deal.
  7. Philly is not making that trade. Horford can still play, he's not a distressed asset, and Richardson has value as well. Philly would get a much better offer than Bruno and Dedmon if they were going in that direction.
  8. I don't know about their exact testing protocols, but if everyone at the school was tested, that is actually a really low number.
  9. Maybe better is the wrong word, but I just prefer Luka's game overall. I'm big on passing, so that's probably the difference.
  10. Luka appears to be more impactful in terms of winning, but it's still early in their careers. But Luka might actually be better than Harden, he's certainly a better passer and rebounder. He's more of a LeBron-lite (on offense).
  11. I also question Trae's room for growth. Being a smaller guy, it's going to really hard to augment his game. The place he does have room for growth is playing off the ball, but Trae honestly just isn't good at that.
  12. Toppin's defense is pure ish, so he's a no go for me.
  13. NBPA are not big fans of basketball. They seem to try to nix any deal or arrangement that involves the actual playing of basketball.
  14. Everything I know about Biker culture I leaned from watching Sons of Anarchy, great show.
  15. It's kinda like when we drafted Reddish. You're betting on upside, you already know the freshman numbers aren't great.
  16. I think's it more that he takes bad shots than that he can't shoot.
  17. Edwards can probably shoot, but he's streaky and will go ice cold sometimes. He can hit really tough shots when he's on though. Ball probably cant shoot too great, but he's a crafty scorer.
  18. Powell was taken in the 2nd round though. All things considered, Powell has out played his draft selection. Taking him #1 overall would be bad.
  19. What about Cam and Ant? They are both ideally shooting guards. I know you draft talent and figure it out everything later, but it's a fair question.
  20. Is Ant wired to be a great NBA player though? Some guys lose their edge once they get millions in the bank. This is a guy who has never been asked to play defense, never been asked to share the ball much. I just wonder if he's ready for the grind of an NBA season, ready for a role he's completely unfamiliar with. But he's a great teammate by all accounts though, so that is a strong plus for him.
  21. If you don't like the fit with Trae then why take him?
  22. We would have to take Ant over Okoro because of talent. But Ant has huge bust potential, by bust I mean empty calories chucker that doesn't help you win. Not hardcore bust or anything.
  23. Well, creating a new bubble is not happening. Too expensive and logistically difficult. Delete 8 are going to the established bubble in Orlando, if anything. But I feel like there is a lot of back room NBA politics going on with this delete 8 thing, and how certain teams are being treated. It feels very David Stern-ish.
  24. One thing that is very unusual is how Covid-19 has not impacted the third world in the same way as wealthier nations. How could nations with far less health care infrastructure, and far less health care capacity, not be impacted? It really defies any explanation.
  25. If your definition of superstar is a generational player, then it essentially impossible to be one by the end of year two.
