  1. Earlier today I dropped Harris, picked up Asik, and switched him in for the injured Bynum. How long does it take for roster and lineup changes to take affect?
  2. It's opening week and I'm already out three starters. Great..
  3. Last season, Harden's per-36 w/ K.D. off the court was ridiculous, but I still get a "Joe" feeling about the guy. Much respect to his game, but I've never quite seen him as elite. The per-36 in question can be seen here at this link. http://i.imgur.com/5TZhN.jpg
  4. I assume all of these newly introduced rules and guidelines were a sort of binge clean up before he packed his bags. Anyways, there you have it.. end of the Stern era. http://www.nba.com/2...s=iref:nbahpt3a
  5. An aging Gasol and a 2025 first round pick? Thanks, but no thanks.
  6. He's consistently been just as good as Lopez in their match-ups. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/h2h_finder.cgi?request=1&p1=lopezbr01&p2=horfoal01
  7. I tried finding an example of Al efficiently guarding another center for you, but all I could find was stat-lines of him making 7'2", 260 pound Roy Hibbert look like his b***h. Does that work for you? http://www.basketbal...01&p2=hibbero01
  8. This is Al and Teague, not Stockton and Malone. If it were only as simple as "pick and roll with Al to get him shots"...
  9. Let's be honest here, Al has a below average inside game and he relies on the mid range jumper for most of his scoring. Now if nobody on this team is a reliable distributor, why should we force the ball upon Al for a bucket? If you can't distribute, you can't distribute. Play to your strengths.
  10. Lou goes 5-6 from the field, finishes with 18 points, and you're complaining about that..? Would you prefer Joe being back and giving us a 13 point, 4-21 shooting performance?
  11. Thank you! I was losing my wits trying to find another link.
  12. Taken down due to copyright. It was good while it lasted.
  13. http://www.ilemi.bz/...vs-Miami-Heat-/ Not the best quality, but it beats watching for changes in the box score.
  14. Is it already full or are we still in that period where only people from last year can sign up? I've tried joining, but I'm getting the following error message.
  15. http://dmmx2.nba.com/videourlredirect?&project=/bballops/bballops_Flopping_Video_10_3_12 It seems to me that they're solely going after the Emmy award winning flops and not minor embellishments, which is understandable seeing as how the league office would be venturing into a lot of gray area by trying to distinguish minor flop from legitimate contact response. On a side note, I'm extremely embarrassed to see Josh make an appearance in what is basically the flopping instructional video... Come on, Josh.. really?
  16. Growing up in Atlanta, I have always learned to take the good with the bad when it comes to post season failures. It helps to a certain extent..For example, the Braves are now out of the playoffs, but as a result there is free student parking at Turner Field everyday. Granted it is not much, it is enough to simply get me to the start of the NBA season when I can get all optimistic again before having my dreams crushed.
  17. Delusional Boston fans blatantly pitching their chauvinistic "insight"? Well, that's nothing new. But this.. implying that Brandon Bass is in anyway more valuable than Josh? That's borderline trolling.
  18. As long as there's open spots, count me in too. I'd love to join you guys.
  19. I don't understand why you think giving someone the starting position implies receiving extended minutes. I'm simply saying that having both of them on the court at the start of the game is going to create the spacing Josh and Al need to operate. I also don't understand why you're so comfortable with Josh playing the 3.. He's a below-average perimeter defender who could probably get beaten off the dribble by Paul Pierce's fossil-ass, his own perimeter game is nothing to be excited about either, as he has trouble getting around other 4's without dribbling the ball of his damn foot, and his jumper... that jump shot... oh god... the number of jump shots he would let fly at the SF position makes me cringe. And though I agree with you that Zaza has earned himself more minutes, a starting role and/or getting more than 30 minutes a game is out of the question as we now have Petro who despite the criticism, is a serviceable big man. They should be played with either Al/Josh, but not both. And I'm not saying Josh at the 3 is going to kill us in short stints at different points in the game, but we definitely shouldn't consider it as a first option.
  20. Personally, I want to see both Morrow and Korver in the starting line up. Not because they're the best options, but because they would keep the opposing team's defense honest enough at the start to allow Al and Josh to set up their post game without receiving instant doubles. This also sets up Teague for efficient pick and roll play with Al and Josh, since help defenders would be shooting themselves in the foot by cheating even slightly on Korver/Morrow. Not to mention, a bench tandem of Devin and Lou coming in at the 6-7 minute mark would be ridiculous. Also, as much as love what he brings to the team, I really, really, really, really, really, really don't want to see Josh at the 3.
  21. I'm really hoping I can be in attendance for Joe's first Atlanta return. If my class/job schedule permits it, there is no way I'm going to miss out on the chance to cheer for Joe when he comes out of the gate. I won't clap or shout when he scores a point, gets a stop, rebound, or assist, but a warm welcome out of the gate is the least we owe him.
  22. No, no.. we got rid of Joe for the excitement part. These new guys are just the icing.
  23. From Uni Watch Somewhere right now, Mookie, Smitty, and Deke are cracking up picturing Teague, Josh, and Al donning their era's jerseys. I can't wait for this!
  24. Should have been more specific on that remark, but I think it's pretty obvious I was referring to Tim Duncan from the "05/07 Spurs." Also, Dirk is most definitely a superstar. You see, when someone has the credentials of being an NBA MVP, Finals MVP, 11 time All-Star, 4 time All-NBA first team, 5 time All-NBA second team, 3 time All-NBA third team, and NBA champion he's pretty much a shoe-in for superstar status.
  25. I can't say I'm surprised they let him throw the first pitch, however I am surprised that he didn't dribble out the shot clock, size up his defender, and throw a contested pitch. But in all seriousness, it's great to see Joe receiving some love and recognition in his new home. Live it up Joe, you deserve it.
