  1. His feel is off the charts right now. He’s processing so much so quick. He’s always conscious of offensive rebound opportunities after his shot but everything falling.
  2. What are we doing with the help in the paint?
  3. Bogi Mutumbo. Rose makes a Rose MVP move once a game. He’s done lol
  4. Trae locked in. I ain’t worried about the Knicks or any runs they may make. They’re 30th ranked pace (which I’m sure is even slower now) combined with their 23rd offensive rating just ain’t gonna cut it against a team with a great pacing and efficiency built for the playoffs (23 pace, 8th rating).
  5. Bruh. You gotta be kidding Dre didn’t get that foul
  6. Trae legit stopped them from booing because of two terrific passes. The crowd was like oh sh!t he may be alright. Knicks fans just wanna see good ball, they cheered for Kobe like he played for them.
  7. Kevin’s hands have become excellent. Nothing better than turning D to O let’s go.
  8. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone knock a rebound away from OO. That boy be squeezing em.
  9. Trae gotta drag that back foot before he release that floater so he’s balanced and not rushing it. When he takes his time he always gets the rim love.
  10. Trae dishing that thang all the way off. Bogi on the spot leggo.
  11. I saw our Bigs shut down Randle by committee, Bogi with a solid all around game, and Lou’s torrid 13 points in 13 minutes spurt. Of course Trae is gonna eat their wack guard battery especially if they don’t face guard and pressure him backcourt, nothing really impressive there. I like how he didn’t force the issue in the first half more than anything.
  12. Here are the career percentages of threes taken from the corner for the top usage guys. I don’t count Luka as a PG he’s big as a house. Excuse the different font from pasting: Irving .143 D. Russell .99 Sexton .109 Ball .161 Walker .66 Murray .131 CP3 .110 Conley .177 Dennis .108 Westbrook .094 Lilliard .057 Steph .135 Fox .130 Rose .99 I didn’t compare all of the percentages to their standard three point shooting but I think Fox is the only one who has a lower corner efficiency than overall. Most of them spike like Conley (.379 to .432) and Steph (.433 to .492) This certainly isn’t a time to bash Trae just following up on the thought. I think these numbers are a good raw indicator of off ball movement, finding open spots, and confidence to catch-and-shoot in any area of the floor. Many games Trae will not attempt a shot that isn’t in the paint, circle, or at the top of the arc. Again not criticizing the kid, just something I hope the staff works on a bit this summer. One thing Trae has down pat is thine hippopotamus ball sackage when it comes to clutch scoring. He made taking on thousands of drunken New Yorkers look like a walk in Central Park causally holding an AK. He and Ja were awesome on the road in playoff debuts no less.
  13. Taylor is an outstanding coach. Their GM doesn’t get any publicity but he also has a quirky yet sharp eye for talent and fits and clearly places a premium on physicality.
  14. Great stat. I think that’s what’s been driving the spike in odds numbers lately for the Hawks. Vegas loves depth.
  15. I respect the Heat, Pacers, Blazers, and Spurs for consistently putting out a watchable product for their fans. Business sense aside I just can’t see how you sleep at night knowingly putting out one that isn’t. Just spitballing but I’m guessing front offices with a strong presence of prideful former players don’t take the bottoming out route. I think if you truly have good, serious people in ownership, management/ scouting, and coaching it’ll all fall into place sooner than later in spite of hurdles in free agency and the talent pool of the draft.
  16. It is head-scratching how he gets 24 minutes when Rivers, Quickley, and Rose are all decent-or-better defenders. His offensive rating is, well, offensive. He just always struck me as one of those guys who coaches love due to obedience or something. Thibs likes to further guys’ careers and get them paid which is commendable. Look at Luol Deng. Sure his body may be cracking and creaking, he’s still getting paid $5M by the Lakers through next season while he’s somewhere on an African beach lol.
  17. Yeah I was confused when I saw “NBCA,” never saw that acronym in my life. I’d cast my vote for Thibs. When coaching a team with still near-peak CP3 all you have to be is pretty good and you’re a contender. The man simply doesn’t make mistakes on the floor. Thibs pulled a top-notch defense right outta his a$$ with that roster.
  18. Never had any interest in this Knicks squad. Thibideau is the unquestioned defense whisperer but beyond field goal percentage against ain’t nothing too notable in their profile, dead last in pace. I even liked Randle better as a role-player paint bully. Almost fully healthy, if we protect the glass and the rock like we been doing it should be a comfortable 4-2 series win. Mitchell Robinson is a huge loss for them; one of the few guys who can bang and range with Capela.
