  1. What on earth does Crawford do that is "point guardish." It is beyond me how people can knock Bibby for not being a distributor and then turn around and sing the praises of a player in Crawford who is far worse in that category.
  2. If you actually go back and look at the replays of Lebron getting calls, he actually is getting hacked on most of them. When you are bigger, faster, and stronger than everyone else people have no choice but to foul you when you're going full speed to the basket. Officals will miss calls, especially in a game like basketball where everything is so subjective. As far as I can tell everyone that consistently complains about officiating are just upset because their team is losing. But in the NBA with with the whole Donaghy thing going on, people seem to have convinced themselves that games they're watching are actually rigged, instead of later realizing that their emotion and bias as a fan is swaying their opinions during games.
  3. I actually didn't mind what I saw from Acie last night. His shots weren't falling, but he looked confident for once.
  4. Kobe is on a different level mentally as the article said. He is also a better basketball player. That's no knock on Joe, but the gap between a very good player like Joe and a great player like Kobe is massive.
  5. Acie doesn't play because he hasn't proven he's good enough to do so. End of story.
  6. BK was terrible but no way is he the "worst GM ever." There are guys that were much worse than him (Isiah, McHale, Kerr etc.).

    Speedy

If you were offered $6M and you didn't deserve it wouldn't you take it? A lot of the shots at Speedy are unfair. Maybe he just loves the game and is trying to get healthy because of that. Just because BK overpaid the man and he proceeded to have a major knee injury (which the Hawks doctors told him was "nothing serious" at first and he played on it for a while due to that) doesn't make him on "welfare" or a "worthless human being." Give the guy a break.
  8. Well at least this should quiet the "play Acie" crowd.
  9. When we have our foot on the other teams' proverbial throats we need to finish the job. But we let up every time. There is no excuse for that anymore, we have plenty of experience and ability now, there is no reason to be so immature and allow teams to climb back into games. A lot of the onus must fall on our "leaders" like Joe and Josh. They are our two best players, and when they continue to slow down their games in these situations the rest of the team will follow. Bibby can only save us so many times in these situations. It's time for our other money guys to take on the extra responsibility of being leaders and keeping the team focused.
  10. Flip has put up career numbers so far this season, I'd say he's doing just fine at the point. Even if he is not a natural PG he is still much better than Acie.
  11. That's all that has to be said regarding how absurd this thread is.
  12. Dumbest thread ever? No one has been more clutch than Bibby all season and we might not even be a playoff team without him. He's going to have bad games shooting the ball because he scores almost all of his points with his jump shot.
  13. Twolves were my surprise team coming into the season, and I've adopted them as my no. 2 team. They remind me a lot of us a few seasons ago. The funny thing is that they aren't good for the reasons most thought. Coming into the year, they looked to be a potentially dangerous thanks to Big Al down low, and three sharpshooters from the outside in Foye, McCants in Miller. But Miller has fallen off the face of the planet this season and McCants was benched. Foye is turning into a hell of a player now now that he's finally healthy and is getting to play the 2, but they've gotten a lot of help from elsewhere. Rodney Carney has been lights out since this streak began, Sebastian Telfair has learned how to play PG, and Ryan Gomes is flashing the ability to maybe become more than just a decent role player. Add in Kevin Love's surprising season (don't think anyone though he'd have this effect on the defensive side right away) and you've got a very dangerous squad.
  14. Josh always seems to get off to slow starts. This season he was hurt and is just now finding his normal form. If you ask me, Josh turned the corner last season. Now that he's starting to get healthy again we are seeing what he is capable of again.
  15. Because he's our fifth string center maybe? I like Othello but Solo/Zaza have been playing well of late and there has been no reason to play him.
