  1. Oh, I agree that our team would be much better with Bosh. Don't misconstrue it. I just think going for a center would make us solid for years to come if we got the right one. I know it takes some luck bc so many bust, but let's give it a whirl I say. I want to build for long term still Championships are impressive. Dynasties are immortal.
  2. I agree, but why are we discussing improving our F position when we have other positions, namely C and PG, that will need to be addressed next season first? I'm just sayin. . . .
  3. I was really hoping to see a Championship GAME tonight, but apparently that's not going to happen. Maybe in the second half I'll have to respond to this post complaining about a blowout that isn't official yet. . . . . but come on! It's just boring to watch.
  4. But at least there are no questions about it. Thabeet = ???? Because? Rookies = ???
  5. I saw a point when this thread began. . . . now I'm entirely lost. Is the point still there because I simply can not find it anymore. . ..
  6. I'm excited to see what will happen. The funniest thing about this thread is that it isn't hard to imagine at all! lol GET EM PAC!!!
  7. Every trade idea I hear involves trading Al. Am I the only one who really sees a great player out of him in the future (if he rolls to the 4)? I just like the kid. . . . sue me.
  8. Three words for Speedy. . . . "Pack . . . Your . . . Bags". Don't slander the people paying you loads to not play or play in a detrimental fashion for the team. Be frustrated you quit performing and quit blaming other people. This reminds me of the teenieboppers that blast the people they don't like on Myspace. It's not for grown **a men to do.
  9. So much trade talk. . . I say we see who steps up in the postseason and then consider trading talent. Either way, I say Bibby and Speedy pack their bags and we use the extra dough and two draft picks to plug holes.
  10. nothing but smiles from San Juan =D well, except Acie's back still hurting, but you all know what I mean
  11. I had twitter once. . . . . . doctor gave me a cream for it though and it cleared right up.
  12. Am I an idiot to suggest that they could split time to keep a fresh talented PF in all game until we figure out what to do with Smoove? I think it would work nicely that way, but that's a lot of money out there for splitting time is the only thing. . .
  13. He would give us that "vet" Center instead of having to groom a kid for the next few years. He would have to adjust to the NBA, but maybe this could work. I still say we take a big round 2 (or lotto if we feel the need), and groom him for the future of the franchise. Better have one in the wings, then to be w/o like we ALWAYS are. Zaza, Anderson, draft pick at C. Al/Smoove at PF, and find a PG that defends well. We could build on that for sure.
  14. We should handle the Pacers too. I see three easily make able wins there (if we show up those nights). I can't wait for that regular season game vs. Miami. Doesn't count for playoffs, but what a perfect time to knock DW off mental balance right before taking them on. As far as the Sixers go. . . . .I'm sure LBJ and Mo will have a little something to say about their contention for the fourth slot. I just hope we can get back at Cleveland in the playoffs this year. Wouldn't that be great?

    Jabberjaw?

The total posts wasn't my concern. It was when I saw 28.7% of the days posts were from my own mouth! Either I was chatting too much or I just really need to get a life! hahaha
  16. Aldrich = beast I just don't see him in a Hawks uniform. We'll have to see when the draft rolls around.
  17. Not unappreciated at all. . . . I was more thinking giving up something of great value for another piece of great value we desperately need. I think, upon reevaluating our position, that we can address these issues in the draft. True, many Cs end up being busts especially later on, but some turn out to be great. Remember Laimbeer?? Not at all saying there's another Bill out there this year, but who's to say there's not?

    Jabberjaw?

I just saw the link to the top posters of the day. . . . . somebody please let me know if you feel I'm blowing the website up too much. I have been fiending for a website to discuss my Hawks and just now found it. I do feel like I put up substantial posts devoid of any pointless rhetoric, but if anyone finds it detrimental to the site let me know. That is the last thing I want to do. . . . . I love me some Hawksquawk! I'm just a bit talkative at times. . . . .

    I had a vision!

Who? Arenas? Haywood perhaps? The point is that we have to give up someone to get someone in a trade scenario. We have built a team (excluding the JJ monster trade) on a lot of draft picks. Who says our next C pickup won't turn out to be a player like picking up Horford?? I'm just saying that if Sund wants to sit tight and make moves, let him do it in the draft and if it doesn't work out we can trade before next year's deadline. It's worth playing it out like that. . .
  20. Is Aldrich's return to college ball a definite?
  21. He (Jerome) is a Junior who is definite to declare from what I understand and the site I got the links off of puts him 33rd overall in this year's draft. I could speculate where he'd be good on the pro level and where he'd slack, but I haven't exactly watched Tulsa this year. The purpose of pointing out these centers is to show that there are options out there without having to trade up for Thabeet. After all, no one knows how these guys will produce until they actually step into the "big league". I'm still a Miroslav Raduljica fan though. . .from what I've read of course.
  22. Oden. We can tell already that he can produce. Thabeet looks GREAT right now. . . . .but it's against college players. NBA is a world of difference. Either way, it's not worth what it would cost us for either. But I'm down for polls so. . . . =D
  23. For any baseball fans, this site is extremely well put together. The chat had educated fans who were as enthusiastic as they were helpful. I'm not a big baseball fan, but if I were this would be a site I would check out quite often.
  24. As far as I can remember we love our PF. Now, we're completely set there (esp. if you include Al). Maybe he'll see that and go after a big for a change. After all, we need it
