  1. We only have to keep him in check. If we can hold him under 32 points, I think we can win. Of course it depends on which Hawks team shows up. . . .
  2. Facebook can help with networking if you use it the right way. Even that is getting more and more ridiculous as people leave from Myspace. I detest them all, but I do keep a Facebook for professional and older personal reasons. Barkley's right though,. . . .twitter sucks.
  3. I meant to say that you were dead on with the comment. Anyone who watches the Hawks knows that. Sorry to mistype one sentence amidst my multitasking. That being said, . . . lay off the coffee there bro. If someone disagrees with you (though I really wasn't), they aren't calling you a liar. It's a blog. That kind of thing happens. And as far as telling me what "I better do", . . . . ridiculous. There is nothing that makes me laugh more than someone trying to get gangsta on a blog! Thanks for giving me something to laugh at mule. You the man!! :laughing5:
  4. Old old old post I know, but I dig having the scoreboard up there. Not sure how difficult it would be, but here's a great idea (I think): Have a sidebar field with real time Hawks statistics during game time. So we could see pts, reb, assists, and minutes played, etc. I know, I ask a lot. =D
  5. I saw it. . . freaking awesome!! The missing CGI makes it look like silver surfers fighting though. hahaha I can't wait to see the final fight scene when it's finished though. Definitely theater watch.
  6. Yeah, it hurts. Last year I was up on a remote Alaskan island during round one. This year I'm "stuck" in Puerto Rico. It's nice here, but I would like to see my boys play. I'm down for "Hawksquawk games" next year. Try it out and if we get good turnouts maybe we could get a specialty group ticket deal. . . or party with the A-town dancers. =D Anyways, that's for next year. ..
  7. I see tragedy. But since he's a Blue Devil it makes me happy.
  8. I say we let him walk, give Acie his shot. I don't see him breaking out huge, but it's like Wurider said, "Defensively we can't afford (Bibby) anymore. We have athletic talent with scoring potential. Let them "pick up the slack". . . .if there is any to be picked up.
  9. TNT?!? Movin on up like the Jeffersons baby!!! Hawks bout to run that Eastside! lol
  10. The hot/cold Hawks comment couldn't be further from the truth. And yes, it is a seven game series. I see long series for us as long as we can stay alive. We showed our ferocity last year against Boston, but lost in 7 (to the eventual champs). Even though I think we beat the Heat in round 1, it won't be a quick victory. No series we play will go less than 6 games.
  11. We have done decent at containing him. He'll have a good game, we just have to keep him from going nuts!
  12. Way to get behind your team there Crazy 88. Imagine how inspired our team would play if every Hawks fan out there had your optimism. You truly are an inspiration. . . . . .hater. GO HAWKS!!!!!!! The table IS set, so hold the faith Hawks nation. Anything is possible in playoffs so why not us?
  13. Right on brother, I'm really digging that!
  14. DW is a beast! I think we can keep him in check, but like EDS said. . . if he gets just a little help, watch out. It will be a series where the winner comes out slightly wore out/beat down, but will have momentum. That's fine with me because when our team actually plays with heart, we can compete with anyone!
  15. Is the magazine any good? How does it compare to SI?
  16. HamHawk

    Blasphemy!

If a guy doesn't start, but he's too good then he's "not really a 6th man". If he plays limited minutes he's not considered because his role is too small. It's such a pointless award I think. Everything is a matter of opinion . . . there's no way to judge.
  17. It's funny how a game so late in the season can be looked at as a "scouting" game for this weekend's games that actually count.
  18. Feels good to say doesn't it? "We're winning". I could get used to that!! If you feel it came from the rebounding, then how much credit do you give Horf for our recent success?
  19. Any team is capable of giving any team a beat down. . . it's the NBA. Look at the Cavs/Wizards for instance this season or our own Hawks vs. the eventual champion Celtics in playoffs last year. Saying there is no potential is asinine. Being concerned with it shows prudence, but being scared of any team?? No way. It's playoffs. It's the time for our Hawks to outshine the performance exhibited last year!
  20. A coach gets blamed for everything wrong and credit for about 10% of what they actually do. In Woody's case, showing coaching through offensive sets would help ease his public ratings. Either way, coaches can't take credit for having a team that is this athletically gifted. Trainers maybe a little, but not the coach.
