To me when this Hawks team knows it has to win, they show up and they play well. Most importantly they win. I want to look back at the previous three years in the playoffs. In 2008, yes we were in the first round against the team that won it all that year. But when we knew we had to have a game, the team came out and we took those three games at home. Following year Miami takes a game on our court. We HAD to go to Miami and win if we wanted to win the series and we do. Last year the Bucks take Game 5. We HAD to go on the road for game six and win and we did. To me when this team has no choice but to win they always come ready to play. Biggest differance this year compared to previous year is this Chicago team is no where as good as the Boston, Cleveland or Orlando teams we faced the past 3 years. Hawks don't want to get eliminated on their home court in front of their fans. Thats why I predict a win tonight. Sunday it's win or go home. We've already proven we can beat the Bulls on their home court. It's another game we HAVE to win. Which means they will come out ready and we will win Game 7. Lets face it the Hawks are their worst enemy. The only team that can eliminate the hawks are the Hawks. If we get the team that showed up Games 1 and 4 we will win the next two games.

Here is how we win: Defend the 3 better and make free throws!!! Magic scored 101 points tonight. They shot 11 of 26 for 42% from three. Lets just say they shot their usuall 23% they been shooting all series and only make 6 of those threes. Thats 15 points off the board and they only score 86 this game. Atlanta on the other hand missed 10 free throws and they have been shooting around 37% from three. They took 16 so lets say they made 6 instead of 4. Thats six points right there. And if we made just half of the FTs we missed thats 11 points right there. Soooooo we're looking at Atlanta with 87 (76+11) and Orlando 86(101-15) Only difference in this game is they hit their 3s and we didnt. Not to mention we missed free throws. But the biggest part is we need to limit them to 23% from 3 like we have been and we win. That was the difference in this game. They shot 42% from three compared to 23% the previous four games.

Here is my idea: Trade Smoove and whatever else for a quality starting skilled center. Trade Marvin for a quality pg who can come off the bench Sign JR Smith and Re Sign Craw You move Joe to the 3 and you start Craw and Kirk in the backcourt with Al and whoever we can get at center. You have JR Smith to be our "instant offense" off the bench. ZaZa is not a bad back up plus we hope to get a good quality back up PG if Teague doesnt pan out. To me Wilkins can get playing time at the back up 3. And Powe can get time at the back up 4. Or get a quality FA at the back up 4 Or maybe you can keep Marv and sign a back up PG. Or maybe Teague pans out

This is what seperates us from the Magic. The Magic were down by 24 points to the Miami Heat IN Miami. What got them back in the game? They played great defense AND they made shots. The difference between them and us is not only can they get stops but when they do get stops they convert on the other end. The Hawks on the other hand cant get stops and what makes it worst is they cant make shots on offense. So basically the Magic yes they live and die by the jump shot. Thing is they also have the ability to get hot at anytime. And when you play defense like they do you are never out of any game. The Hawks when they go cold, they go cold and they NEVER get hot. Thats the difference

Basically this team is a sad version of the Orlando Magic with no post player. Difference between us an Orlando is they make their shots and have a great post up guy. We dont make our shots and we have nobody who can post up. Only guy who has hit his jumper consistant this season is Horford. Heres my thing: -We have a PG who can hit a mid range shot, penetrate and hit the 3 (Kirk) -We have a great PNR Power Foward (Horford) -We have a guy who can come off screens (Joe) -We have a guy who can come off the bench and bring instant offense (Jamal) -We have a guy off the bench who can break down a dfense (Teague) -We have a guy who can bring great defense off the bench (Wilkins) -You have a SF who can play great defense who can hit a mid range shot (Marvin) Problem is: -Your guy coming off the screen is not aggressive (Joe) -Your instant offense off the bench is not playing well (Jamal) -Your pg who can penetrate cant finish (Teague) -The one guy who gets more open jumpers than anyone can hit them (Josh) -Your SF who plays good defense cant hit an open shot (Marvin) Thing is you have guys who care capable of doing a lot of things. Problem is they not doing it!!!!!

Maybe the Hawks are just saving themselves for the playoffs. They WANT to look bad so everyone will say you know what this should be a pretty easy series. Remember everyone saying how the Hawks were the worst 8th seed to ever make the playoffs? Well we took Boston to 7 games. Consider this Hawks team to be the worst 5th seed to ever make the playoffs. And I expect us to make some noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

1. You have a player who think he is a jump shooter but cant shoot (Josh Smith) 2. You have a guy who use to be a good mid range shooter but now cant make them consistantly (Marvin Williams) 3. You have a point guard on the bench who cant give you nothing on offense (Jeff Teague) Just a few things I see wrong with this team. I mean lets face it this team is seriously flawed.

Wouldnt it be cool if we win Game 4, somehow steal Game 5 in Orlando come back home and steal Game 6 and force a Game 7? As much as this series has sucked, where would you stand with many JJ and Woodson if that were to happen? I know it won't because I will be in class so I won't witness the beat down tonight. But what if that did happen and we somehow forced a Game 7? What would happen if by a miracle we actually WIN Game 7?

Keep: Al Crawford Teague Marvin* Randolph* West Let Go: Joe Bibby Smoove Joe Smith Collins Evans I would keep Marvin and Randolph because I feel in the right system they both can be big. Randolph in my mind just needs playing time. From what Ive seen, Randolph has the tools to be successful on offense And I would trade Smoove for a center. Lets face it athletisicm will not win you games in the playoffs. Trade Smith and get a center who can play some defense and move Horford to the four. Trust me you will not win a championship by out=athleticing the other team

well they did say he injured his shooting hand against the Lakers and reinjured it against Cleveland which is why he sat out tonight. So maybe him re injuring his hand cost him to have an off night. But who cares we are one win away from having our first 50 win season in what 10 years. and we locked up a Top 4 seed tonight. Be happy

This might sound crazy but why not start ZaZa against the Magic? From all 4 games, this is what I have noticed. When Horford is guarding Howard, he doesn't "attack". He basically just plays around and the Hawks double him. So he kicks it out and usually gets good results. When ZaZa is on him he immediatly attacks. And well how many points did Howard score when ZaZa is guarding him? Zero because ZaZa played him well.

lets be serious. do you really think Northern Iowa will beat Kansas in a 3 or 5 or even 7 game series? Hell no lol thats the difference between March Madness and the NBA Playoffs. Granted nobody thought we would beat Boston once let alone three times in that epic 7 game series. But you would be dumb to think if we won the first game in Boston we would go on to beat them 3 more ties

Other night against Golden State Joe only scored what 12 points. If I told you the Hawks would score 127 points with Joe only scoring 12 would you believe me? Thing with Atlanta is we can win even when Joe has off nights. What makes Joe a star in my mind is we suck without him. You take Joe off the team we might not make the playoffs.

Only move I would make is moving Mo into the starting lineup and Marvin to the bench. Lets face it you cant run your offense through nobody on that bench except Crawford. And for some reason Woody loves to have all the bench players in there at one time. So why not move Marvin to the bench? Think about it he is not going to get many touches with the starters because of Joe, Josh and Al. So he wont get many touches with the first unit. ZaZa scares me whenever he tries to post up. Joe Smith and Mo Evens are no more than spot up shooters. And Teague still cant finish at the rim or set up his teammates. So you only have Crawford. With Marvin at least he can post up and get to the line. You can run your offense through him. You cant say the same about the bench except Crawford. So I would put Mo with the first unit I dont think you lose much because Mo can hit a spot up jumper and play defense. But you add more production to the bench because you know have another guy you can go to in Marvin. He will still get minutes and get more opportunities.

vs Philadelphia vs Golden State @ Miami @ New York @ Washington vs Detroit @ New Jersey @ Toranto vs Charlotte Granted it's the NBA and any team can beat any other team on any given day. Thats why they play the game. But come on if the Hawks want to take the next step, they must beat teams they are better than. The Hawks are clearly better than any of these teams. No reason they cant win their next 9 games and maybe pass Orlando for 1st in the division. Here is Orlandos next 9 vs Golden State @ New Jersey vs Los (Lakers) vs Los (Clippers) vs Chicago @ Washington vs Charlotte vs San Antonio @ Miami They have just as easy as a schedule. I only see them losing one game and thats to the Lakers. Hawks need to take care of business. Stop losing to teams you know you are better than. The worst we should go during this stretch is 8-1

we are 27-14 this year: -Detroit -Both home games vs New York -Chicago Thats four games right there where we could be 31-10 and instead of being in 3rd place half game back of 2nd we could be just 2 games back of second for the #1 seed in the east and have a 3.5 game lead over Orlando. If this team wants to win the division and not just compete for the 4th seed but possibly the #2 seed, we need to start beating teams we should beat. We are learning to beat the good teams in this league (Dallas, Denver, Portland, Boston) but we need to beat teams we should beat (Chicago, New York, Detroit). Granted its the NBA and yes the Clippers have beaten the Lakers. Boston just lost to Detroit. Thing that seperates us from them is how often will the elite teams lose to teams that are vastly better than. You might have a hick up every now and then because its an 82 game season. But the Hawks need to be more consistant

The bench wants more burns? Ok besides Crawford: -Mo Evans has been terrible every since he had those few games where he was 11 or 18 from three. Every since then every thing he throws up is a brick. -Joe Smith has not been the same since his injury. Before his injury he was almost automatic from mid range. Now he cant make a basket. -Teague has no offensive game. He doesnt make open shot. And anytime he gets close to the rim he cant finish. He eithet misses or he gets it blocked. -ZaZa has NO offensive game. I hate seeing ZaZa in the post. Yes he hustles and gets rebounds but thats it. So our bench besides Crawford has pretty much SUCKED!!! IF you want more playing time, get more consistant
