  1. No because this threa is about scoring efficiency and that stat apply other variables like rebounds and blocks. Overall nobody is arguing that Josh is an ineffective player. We are arguing over whether he is an efficient scorer.
  2. You're assuming that 60% is good in the first place. 60% is horrible, just plain horrible.
  3. You're right, that's my bad. I should say that I am talking about Josh's shooting efficiency through his PPS in recent games. Thanks for the correction.
  4. OK first off I didn't compare Josh to Kobe, I said that Kobe's 81 point game is the definition of an efficient game. Second, Josh can absolutely be compared to those players. They are all NBA players that play the forward position. I am not comparing Centers to point guards here I am comparing a position that all three players play. Josh absolutely has as much talent as Kevin Love and Kevin Durant. He doesn't utilize it to the best of his abilities. Third, I didn't no compare Love and Durant to Smith as players, I compared the efficiency of their 30 point games. Of which Love's and Durant's are much more efficient.
  5. Thats not what efficiency means. Please go look up Kobe's 81 point game for the definition of efficiency. He had 1.9 pps in the game. That is efficient. Josh last night had 1.15 pps, to have an efficient night you should have at least 1.3 pps.
  6. I just dont know if we can win tonight. This stretch has to rank up there in toughest schedule in NBA history. Eight games in Eleven days including two overtime games, one of which was a quadruple overtime. Five of the eight teams are in the playoff race and two of them are leading their division. That being said we can beat the Bulls, as we have shown before, but we are gonna have tired legs. Lets hope Josh and Joe come out ballin tonight and have great games.
  7. No it is not very efficient. FG% is misleading in this case because he shot a lot. An efficient game would be 10-19 and 8-9 Free throws, which was Druants statline for a 31 point game. You dont have to shoot 50% to be efficient, look at this Kevin Love statline, 10-21 FG% 47 10-10 free throws 32 points. These are efficient games by player that Josh has the talent to play like, but no, he drift to the corner and shoots jumpers. But as I said in my original post, nobody played particularly well last night and our closer, Joe, played particularly badly.
  8. 30 on 26 is not an efficient night. If he would have stuck to the paint he would have got some foul calls and went to the line more often. That being said, Joe had a very bad night. Teague had a bad night. Hinrich had a bad night. Lets not all blame josh is all I'm saying. The team has the right to be tired tonight, and probably tomorrow also, thats just how the shortened season is gonna be. I suggest we not get all up in arms over the next few days because the schedule is pretty tough, especially on tired legs.
  9. Great week for Joe. Glad to see him get some love from time to time.
  10. I'm not, you just asked for a video of Love hitting a game winner and I provided. I agree that Joe has been the most clutch player in the NBA over the past two weeks.
  11. Division leaders are promised a top 4 seed. This happened two years ago when we won 52 games but Boston out seeded us because they play in a weak division.
  12. Love hit a game winning 3 earlier this year, and just last week hit a 3 to tie against the thunder.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoLS0t6wzcsVideo for you
  13. Ah, I stand corrected. I remember having to deal with that crap a couple seasons ago when we were seeded below Boston despite having a 50 wins season.
  14. I just wanna say that this is one of the most committed troll accounts I have seen in awhile. Bravo to you sir.
  15. Showed heart tonight for sure. Lasting image for me was I think in the 1st overtime when there was a loose ball, joe and teague threw themselves on the floor to try and get it. The team wanted this one tonight, they are tired of being called soft.
  16. We have a very important stretch ahead of us. Bucks, Bulls, Knicks, 76ers is a hard schedule for anyone. If we can get out of that stretch with 3 wins I think we can put out self in position for a 4 seed.
  17. So when Kobe played in a 3 OT game against pheonix last year, and didnt close it in regulation or the first two overtimes, he proved to everyone he wasnt a max player? Cause a max player would have closed that game in regulation, right? Please, players dont make everyone shot in non clutch situations, I think we can make an exception for missing one or two when the game is on the line. Especially with the way he has closed games this season.
  18. No, everyone has to try to one up each other. Seriously guys the team just pulled off a damn near impossible win against the hottest team in the west, can we please just enjoy it without someone having to be right or wrong.
  19. Back to back to back and quadruple overtime. What a game, comes close to that OKC Minny game a few nights ago. If that Joe 3 to tie doesnt make Top 10 it will be a tragedy.
  20. I assume they can do it the same way that they marched into Miami and beat them earlier this year.
  21. Welcome to HawkSquawk the most pessimistic sports forum on the internet.
  22. This post is several different shades of awesome right now.
  23. Monster clutch shots tonight. I really hope he can keep this up for the rest of the season.
  24. I swear this is the most pessimistic fan site ever.
  25. He is soild on defense. He was waived because the kings dont need a guy that is shooting 35%. I think he has potential and room to grow, he will learn to take better shots. It would be recommended for the Hawks to nab him NOW.
