  1. Everyone has an off night. Remember two years ago when Ray Allen tied the playoff record for 3's and then the following game went 1-13 or something similar to that? Joe had wide open looks and he missed them because he was ice cold tonight. That kind of thing doesnt happen night in and night out. He will come back and he will play well.
  2. Ah damn I forgot about this account. Dude you need to attend a few more classes in troll academy you are trying to hard.
  3. I do think the chest bump is intentional. I do think he will be suspended for 1 game. He was already suspended earlier this year and Stern has a ZERO tolerance policy on this kind of thing. However on a personal opinion, I do not believe he should be suspended.
  4. Well Rose has been injured almost all year long. What better way to shake off the rust then to put him in garbage time with some low pressure minutes. Obviously it back fired but I dont think it was a bad decision.
  5. http://www.nba.com/news/features/2012-series-preview-east4/index.htmlNBA.com picks the Hawks in 7.
  6. Last year every one of them selected the Magic win in 5 at the most. Dont listen to espn, their "Experts" dont want to pick a team like the Hawks. Especially while they are playing ESPN's beloved Boston team.
  7. Because Garnett is a master A**hole and can get under your skin. If Ivan is on edge he is gonna get a lot of Techs really fast and then we wont have him at all.
  8. Because Joe had a couple of big shots that basically kept us in the game late in the 4th. By the way Joe had 22 points on 14 shots. 1.5 points per shot is a very efficient outing.
  9. Can we please just shut up for once about Josh. We lost a game today, it was nobodys fault. We played well and lost by 1 to a playoff team in their house with both of our centers missing. Stop trying to blame people.
  10. ......You are blaming Drew for putting the ball in the hands of a professional athlete who was hot all game? I dont even know how to respond to this.
  11. People are upset with Marvin because he was picked #2 overall. Everyone knows that getting picked there is not his fault, but the fact remains that with the #2 pick you come with expectations. When people think of Marvin they think of somebody who should have been a 25 and 7 guy, and instead is a solid bench player.
  12. Way way too many turnover tonight.
  13. I think Rafe Batholomew put it best in an article on grantland about a week ago. " Can anyone explain what's happening in Detroit? First, they signed Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva to five-year contracts worth around $60 and $40 million, respectively, in July 2009. Then, last summer, they inked Rodney Stuckey, Tayshaun Prince, and Jonas Jerebko to three- and four-year extensions. Detroit didn't overpay badly in these deals, but what was the team hoping to accomplish? To lock up the core of a team that when healthy can compete for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs?"
  14. I like this lineup but have a few worries about it. 1. Josh way have some trouble moving with some of the faster 3's in the playoffs. And maybe drift outside more than he already does. 2. Joe seems to play better defense against 3's he might get tired running and chasing some speedy 2 guards. 3. Zaza would need to grab a lot of rebounds since Josh will be further from the paint playing the 3 and Al already plays outside the paint.
  15. Marvin was bad but really nobody played very well tonight. Joe had a bad night shooting. Josh missed open passes and had way to many turnovers. Overall the team had a pathetic night rebounding. Just a bad game. Nothing to be to worried about, there is not shame losing to the hottest team in the NBA on their court in overtime.
  16. It's pretty well known that Josh doesnt like passing to Teague for what ever reason.
  17. JJ and it's not even close.
  18. Well defense is kinda half of the game so that is a pretty big category that Josh is better in. There is no question that blake is a more marketable player but I dont think he is miles ahead offensively.
  19. That has been a large problem with fans measuring a players defense for awhile. You have to rely heavily on the eyeball test to know if someone is a good defender particularly for perimeter defenders.
  20. It's a hard call from a strictly play stand point. Josh can create his own shot while Blake has to have a point guard to play well. But Blake plays close to the rim and Josh has a tendency to drift to the perimeter. I would probably choose Josh because I am a bit of a homer and I think Josh provides more to the team defensivly. If we are talking from a owners standpoint then I am taking Blake no question. Blake is a Superstar and josh is not.Edit: Can we please stop doing the "osh" thing? We all know he has an inconsistent jumper. Criticize him for it but lets not resort to some petty name calling.
  21. You are right of course. The Stat measures what it is supposed to measure. What I mean to say is that Any kind of overall stat, even if it doesnt exist, would in my opinion have Josh as the 3rd best PF in the league behind Love and close to Griffen.
  22. That logic swings both ways. Since Josh is such a large part of the team and he does so many things he can be attributed to keeping us in game and also making mistakes that cost us games. Of course Joe and Al can also be accused of this at different times.
  23. I agree, Josh brings a lot to this team and his PER should probably higher than it is because it does not take into account some defensive statistics that Josh preforms well at. Josh should absolutely be 3rd team All NBA because he edges Aldridge in defensive stats and rebounds. Joe and Josh are our two most important players and there are complaints that I have against Joe as well. I just see Josh's deficiencies as more detrimental to the Hawks as a whole.
  24. The Hawks have lost 6 games this year but 1 possession or less. So yeah sometimes that missed shot can be important.Edit: Also 6 wins would put us in the 3rd seed and within one game of Miami for the division.
