I agree that both should be all stars for the foreseeable future. On the surrounding players front...There is zero comparison between the Dallas roster and our roster this season. I am only saying statistically. We are young and in need of a lot of growth. Grateful for Capella and Dedmon. Should begin righting the interior ship (so sick of getting abused on the boards). Grateful for Cam’s development. Big piece of our future winning will be his two-way game.

Thanks for posting. I look forward to reading it. Trae’s strength has been his work ethic and humility. You see it through his willingness to seek out wisdom and pointers from those ahead of him. Love this about him!

I think the main point I was making is that I would agree with Pop on this one. Have never valued this stat compared to other ones. I am a bigger fan of on/off, than plus minus. I do like looking at 3-man, 4-man, and 5-man plus/minus in trying to see how different players perform together. Your preferred stat of RAPTOR meshes the two which might be a better compromise. Regardless, if you play for a crap team, your plus minus will be in the trash can pretty badly

Plus Minus rating is one of the worst there is. It is best for looking within the team to see how players stack up against the overall outcome of the game. In other words, if we lose by 25 and Trae is -10, then that is actually not a horrific result. If we win by 20, and Trae is a net zero, then his game was awful. I have pulled relative plus/minus for the season on most teams (not updated in the last 5-6 games). The results are helpful. Using it to compare player A to player B on different teams is worthless IMO. It is more an indicator of how good the overall team is.

Obviously I didn’t see the game. Will watch replay tomorrow. But the box score stat that jumps out to me was the rebounding.

Okay. Just got home from work. Can’t believe we just got out rebounded by 20 boards. All other stats are even. Except the one stat we need more of...points!!!! how did dedmon and Collins only grab a few boards.

So encouraged by this article!!! It reminds me of Trae's work ethic to improve and improve and... Well, folks started noticing Trae following the AS break. But for us, we noticed starting in December and January. If Cam stays hungry, humble, and teachable, he will be a stud!!! All the tools he brings to the table will be a huge win for the Hawks longterm! Watching a few of his recent games has been very encouraging for sure! Glad to get a glimpse behind the curtain to see what has been leading to the increased performance and consistency. Love this kid!!!

Agreed. Using the same defense all game is not a great option. Mix in some zone. Some trapping. Some...surprise isn’t your enemy on defense. Keep them guessing. Keep them honest.
