  1. I love it. Man, we are getting things done fast. That is a really good sign. I see us getting SJax. I would also like to sign DJ and Smush, and what the [censored], lets bring Smitty back, this is looking good!
  2. I too have always like Smush Parker. This guy is a great defender. He is very strong and athletic. Has a very good upside. He seemed to give JT problems all year last year. He would be a good pick up. Powell is good, but I'd rather sign DJ.
  3. Lets see, Mike Gearon Jr. and Knight have said he will be back. Hmmmm.....man that's tough. Heck yea he will be back. Are you kidding me? That was a waste of space.
  4. September 19, 2003 "As the Atlanta Spirit LLC group prepares to take over ownership of the Hawks, Thrashers and operating rights to Philips Arena, let me express my excitement to our fans as I accomplish the realization of a lifelong dream. "For 20 years, it has been my goal to obtain an NBA franchise, and I feel very fortunate to be part of a team that has the resources and intention on bringing a championship-caliber team to the city of Atlanta and our fans and making Philips Arena a very difficult place for the opposition to play every night. "This is a tremendous opportunity to bring our business and marketing expertise to this great sports town. Coming from the Boston area, I've grown up with the Celtics culture and followed their success, and we hope to create that same winning, family atmosphere here in Atlanta. We feel we have an all-star team with our ownership group and we have all the confidence in the world that both the Hawks and Thrashers can be all-star teams. "Michael (Gearon, Jr.) and I will oversee the basketball operations of the Hawks and we want you to understand that we have the financial resources to build a championship team. We will do what is required to accomplish that and provide Billy Knight and Terry Stotts with the necessary support to put a winning product on the floor. "On a personal note, it has been quite a year for me. I've gone from one of the lowest points in my life when Larry Bird and I came in second in our pursuit to obtain the Charlotte franchise, to one of the most gratifying days of my life when we reached this deal with AOL Time Warner. Simply put, it can't get any better than this. "We will work diligently to instill a sense of pride throughout the community with our work on and off the court as we put all of our energies towards creating an entertaining and winning product you will be proud of. "We look forward to regaining your trust and your support, and we expect to see you soon at Philips Arena."
  5. I heard today that we ARE going to resign Glover. We will resign JT this weekend. I also heard that since we have owners, Stephen Jackson is going to meet with us sometime this month. I'm telling yall, Belkin and the rest are willing to spend. I see great things in the future as well as 2004!
  6. I love em. I've heard that some of these guys love the Hawks. This is great. I am soooo relieved. We back baby!
  7. [censored], a whole frekin offseason. I am releived that we finally got an owner, and whoever it is, whether it's Turner again, Jordan, or this Steve Belkin guy, they better actually care about the team.
  8. Well, those jazz fans should go to [censored]. Jay is awesome. The Jazz fans know JT is gonna be back here. There is no chance that we are going to let him go.
  9. I knew he was still a hater. Just another BANDWAGONER!
  10. The Lakers signed this guy a couple weeks ago. He is said to be the "Ultimate Power". Sounds like a joke right? No. Laker fans are drooling over this guy. They say he is a really good dunker and 3 point shooter. Haha, they are already saying he is going to the all-star game this upcoming season. I find this very funny. The replacement for Mark Madsen is going to the all-star game. LOL. Whew, had to let that out.
  11. Ok, I have said that we need to move Dog right? I've said that we had awful chemistry right? If you think that I'M not a fan, then that's just plain dumbness right there. I'm not trying to start anything, but I have told you guys my share of what I think the problems are. I think we are a young talented team that is capable of being good. I like the direction we are going in. I am sorry that I'm not beating up the team as much as you and some of these other guys. Whoops, My bad! If you don't like the Hawks right now, then why do you even waste your time posting here? I know some people here are hearing me clearly.
  12. I'm just saying, the good fans are the ones that try to bring in the positives and stick with the team and don't hate on them every second. Right now, I guess everyone is giving up besides me, Jason, and some others.
  13. Of course. AOL Time Warner didn't care at all about the team. Once McDavid is here, fans will come. They will come Ray, they will most defenitley come.
  14. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hawks suck. Hawks suck. That's what I hear all the friggin time, but you know what, I think that's [censored]. This team has the talent to be effective. With Dog gone, we should jell a lot better. We are going to resign JT and likely Glover too, along with that, we are looking to bring back Smitty, and we are looking at others like Voshon Lenard, Kenny Anderson, and some other good vets. Did I even mention that Nazr Mohammed is back and 100%? That will add another 10 and 7 off the bench. We have a very good coach, and a respectful GM. Stotts has gotten 45-50 calls from former coaches or players to join the bench as assistants. Wake up people! We are Hawks fans, not Hawks haters. I might get suspended from the site for saying [censored], but I don't care. Stand up Atlanta. Come the games and support your team. No matter how bad it is and it aint bad to me right now. C'mon guys. GO HAWKS!!!!
  15. Honestly, I think this is taking a step forward. Stotts proved he can be a good head coach and Knight is very good at what he does.
  16. Heck, put me in charge. I think I could do better than AOL.
  17. Hawksman

    Hey Mike......

LOL. You guys watch it? Usually people call in and curse at that Matt Stewart guy.
  18. All I have to say is.....[censored]

  20. Man, I did not think that English would do that to us.
  21. Gosh, Diesel. Are you online all day? Go do something man. You got a life to live.
  22. If we play with heart, we can make it to the playoffs. Anything can happen. Every year, no matter what players we have, I think we can make the playoffs and beyond.
