  1. Remember when Joe Johnson was here and Joe was the face of the team? Remember when he left and the Hawks made Josh the face? How can he be the most important after Dominique? The Hawks did make the playoffs every year Al played, but they took Indy to Game 7 one year without him.

I think Howard will make a resurgence. He could very well be an All Star. I hope so.

Probably not the place for a Biblical discussion, but I used to think the Trinity was a Biblical concept. It isn't. It is anachronistically read back into the text. I have personally investigated every proof text and looked into the history. (Trinitarian belief did not become popular until after Tbeodosius made it law in the 4th century.)

I'm an unorthodox Christian. I used to be orthodox, but have changed a lot over the years.

Trinity is a post biblical concept that has become a long standing tradition. The Bible never sets forth the number 3 as a holy number. Eight is not a holy number per se. Numbers themselves aren't homy but they stand for something symbolically. Eight is significant.

I'd argue that 3 isnt holy Biblically. There are a lot of numbers that are significant in different ways. Eight has already been pointed out as a number meaning "new."
  7. The 8th day is the day little Jewish boys were circumcized and brought into God's covenant. But more importantly the 8th day is the day of resurrection. When old things become new. Jesus was raised on the day after the Sabbath, which is the 7th day. The 8th day ushers in a new and better covenant. Highly symbolic. Seems Dwight understands it very well.
  8. So now we can call Dwight, "Date." As in D8... lol

Is 44 available? That's my guess if so.
  11. It all starts with drafting top talent. Sometimes it takes a little luck, but youbhave to put yourself in position to hit the homerun. Next year's class is said to be loaded. Hope the Hawks are creative and get up there and find a difference maker.
  12. Want to make it clear that you did not see the words "tank," "firesale," etc. In the original post. I'm not suggesting the Hawks just lose as many games as possible to get a top pick. I am suggesting considering trading a couple of the older vets that can net assets that give us ammunition to position ourselves for such a pick... Sap included.
  13. Check out @daldridgetnt's Tweet: Let me just say that the NBA really makes me want to puke. Atlanta's inability to attract stars is further fueled in today's NBA where teams are allowed to have clusters of stars. What has made the Warrior's great? What has put them in this position? (I dont blame them for getting KD. I blame the league for allowing such gross imbalance, even though this case is a little different) It was drafting. At least in the case of the Warriors, unlike the Celtics and Heat, they didn't sign 2 max guys. They drafted two and are able to add another. Atlanta simply must find a way to add a star talent player via the draft. This is how the image can change and star FA's will look to Atlanta. Can the FO be honest enough to see that and do what is necessary even if it hurts a little now?
  14. The NFL is the best pro league in America. Competitive Balance. And Durant is a hypocrit and a pu**y.
  15. Let's face it... Al took a deal worth 23 million less. After 4 years will he get a deal worth 23 per? At 34, idk. This couldnt have been about 6 million I dont think.
  16. Really dosappointed that Al didnt take time to thank the organization and fans before throwing up the green. I think Millsap is better than Horf, but I think Horf at less money plus the assets in a Millsap trade would be better in the long run for the Hawks. Either Al really screwed Atlanta or this whole FA was greatly mishandled by Budcox.
  17. Sorry for your loss. :(
  18. You're right. I just hope the Teague trade turns into an impactful player. No BeBe's or Johnny Cash's. And... two seconds.
  19. Expecting big things out of Dennis. He has that dog in him, and still plenty room to grow.
  20. I think Ferry should be brought back. He and Bud are great together and getting rid of Ferry could ultimately lead to Bud moving somewhere else when his contract is up. But I am glad Grant Hill is part of this ownership group.
  21. Give us some hints? Is there some lime green?
  22. It's true that Dennis is not quite ready. But... waiting until he is means you let Teague go for nothing and lose out on talent. Teague is at his peak and also at his peak value. We are probably not going to resign him in 2 years anyway. If Teague would be consistently ALPHA like he could have been I'd say keep him. But last night showed me that if he cannot put his team on his back against Matthew Delavadova and no one to stop him, then he is expendable. We can take our lumps with Dennis and add more talent to the roster while freeing up cap space to pursue some vets.
  23. I think the playoffs have shown us that Dennis is not quite yet ready. Better get someone who can create shots if we were to trade Teague.
  24. Hawks are in the ECF for the 1st time ever... yeah Bud us an awful playoff coach. Lol.
