    Elton Brand to ATL.

I'm also not sure about this. Where does he fit in? Is he just a trade piece for a deadline deal this year? We need a center, not another PF.
  2. When we land one of Wiggins/Parker/Randle/Gordon everyone will be happy again.
  3. Well boo. Thanks for the inside info though.
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boban_Marjanovi%C4%87 Any hope in this guy? 24 yr old, 7'3, 271lb center? Also is John Milsap, Paul's bro?
  5. Why? We don't need to tie up 9m in salary for 5 years. Hopefully Dennis will be our starter in a couple of years.
  6. I hope we just let Schröder run the point instead of paying Teague or Jennings anything over 7 mil or so.

    Teague not wanted?

I was never a fan of Teague's on court demeanor. I say SnT him.
  8. Jennings - Schröder Lou - Jenkins Korver - DeMarre Al - Milsap - Scott Bynum - Muscala Would like to get a bigger 2G though.
  9. Just saw this exerpt from a Grantland article: That is a high price, especially since Utah could have fielded a playoff contender by using its cap space to chase Jeff Teague (almost unwanted in Atlanta, sources say), re-signing Paul Millsap, and filling out the rest of the roster with bit players. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/67894/dwights-flight-and-what-weve-learned-from-free-agency-so-far
  10. I'd love to have Julius Randle, Wiggins or Gordon or Parker.
  11. Ok, so Asik/young PF/ 14 and 16 firsts for Smith. Dwight J.Smith Parsons Harden Lin That still doesn't win the 'Ship or even the West. Bottom line is it's MUCH smarter for us to get something in return for Smith than just to let him walk.
  12. Diesel....Someone is getting Asik if they sign Dwight. Asik is a great rebounder and defender. He would be a perfect fit beside Al. A front line of ALs would be HORRIBLE at protecting the basket.
  13. I'd rather have Asik than Jefferson. Plus we'd be getting MULTIPLE assets from a Josh SnT. Get Asik (8 mil a year against the cap for 2 seasons is a bargain), a young PF (Terrance Jones or Donatas Motiejūnas) and as many draft picks as you can from them. How you rebuild is turning an asset (Josh Smith) into multiple assets. Plus I don't think Houston would be that great with a front line of Dwight and Josh.
  14. Here's the Hawks: Current projection: 28-54 (26th in NBA) | Playoff/Title odds: 0%/0% | 5-year WARP: 99.0 (11th) What their approach appears to be: Developing What their approach should be: Developing Plan of action: The Hawks probably held onto their second-round-upside core for too long, but GM Danny Ferry pushed Atlanta off that treadmill by unloading Joe Johnsonon Brooklyn last summer. Now he's doing his due diligence by meeting with hometown heroDwight Howard, but with that acquisition unlikely and Chris Paul off the board, Ferry would do well to bank his cap space for next season's talent-rich summer. What Ferry must avoid is latching onto next-level free agents in order to save face after missing the home run signing. It's a good time to develop Dennis Schröder, Lucas Nogueira and John Jenkins. The question is whether franchise stalwart Al Horford would be willing to wait out a full-on rebuild. The Hawks would have no shortage of suitors if he were made available. Power move: With Howard and Paul off the table, Ferry lets Smith walk and deals Horford to Cleveland for Tristan Thompson and Tyler Zeller. **************** One thing, IF we traded Al (we won't), we better get more than that for him! http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9446196/nba-eastern-conference-team-do-develop-contend
  15. Hopefully we can trade JSmoove for Asik/Jones(or Motie)/2014 and 2015 1st rounders. Asik/Muscala/Lucas Horford/Scott/Jones(or Motie) FA (Brewer?) Jenkins/Lou Teague/Dennis
  16. I like those picks if you take away Olynyk and add Franklin there. All 4 of those players would be able to play next year IMO.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MqhtnEvjsf8 I honestly didn't know much about Burke but after watching his highlights, I think he'd be a perfect fit in Bud's system. Seems like a Parker clone to me. But with better deep range.
  18. i'm also not big on Plumblee. I'd try and trade our 2nd rounders to get a late 1st (from a team that doesn't want the guaranteed contract of a 1st) 17 - Giannis/Kerosev as our Euro Stash player 18 - Jamaal Franklin late 1st - Withey/Muscala
  19. He finally answered my question, I usually get ignored: Chris (South Carolina) Any idea what the Hawks are thinking? It's been awfully quiet out of ATL Chad Ford (1:39 PM) Danny Ferry doesn't really show his hand too often. I think they like Mason Plumlee and Gourgi Dieng as bigs. Jamaal Franklin and Tim Hardaway as guards. Also I think they grab one international player. Sergey Karaseve if he's there. Also they really like Antetoukounmpo
  20. Sure did, guess working and reading forums isn't a great idea...So Lou as backup scoring PG/6th man off the bench. I do like Webster
  21. To put us in tier 1, i'd say: Draft J. Franklin - all around player, hustle guy, plays great D Draft a Big - Need a backup Center/shotblocker (Deing/Withey) or maybe even Olynik as a stretch 4 off the bench (I know ya'll hate him) 2nd round picks - draft one college player (Kabongo? Mbakwe?) and one Euro stash player Sign CP3 Sign Dwight Sign a SF (probably a couple actually) - Korver? C. Brewer? Barnes? Possibly SnT Teague for a SF? CP3/ Kabongo (or Mack) Jenkins/ Franklin Korver/ FA Horford/ Ivan/ Scott Dwight/ Deing of course there are a TON of variables on who we could or would sign to make up the team around CP3/Jenkins/AL/Dwight
  22. I'm happy with it. So i'm guessing we're going with a Spurs style of basketball, lots of pNr's and spacing the floor with shooters? Anyone have any other insight into his coach style?
