I agree with all of this. We need to get bigger. What I would like: Sign CP3, Sign Dwight, Sign Korver, Draft Jammal Franklin (or a better shooter, but with this group i'd like his slashing ability and defense), Draft Dieng/Withey (or other shot blocking big), sign bench players CP3/ Lou Franklin/ Jenkins Korver/ ?? Horford/ Ivan/ Scott Dwight/ Deing or plan B: Resign Teague, Sign Al Jefferson (i know his defense sucks but he kills the Heat), draft Schröder instead? Still need a shotblocking big (Dieng/Withey/ Bebe) Teague/ Schröder Jenkins/ Lou Korver/ ?? Horford/ Ivan/ Scott Jefferson/ Dieng

No disrespect but the chances of us landing paul/howard are slim to none. More than likely we're going to have to build a team through the draft and smart FA signings. We just need to hire the best fit here and not worry about pipe dream free agents.

I actually would like this hire. We need to stay away from the retreads. Hire a NBA assistant or Messina IMO.

I like Franklin. I know he's not a great shooter but has great athleticism and is a beast of a rebounder. Also is probably the second best perimeter defender after Oladipo in this draft. Our other pick we need to grab a big but who knows who that could be. Unless we can get a developmental big in the 2nd. Maybe package our two 2nd rounders to move up into the early 2nd (or late 1st to a team that doesn't want the guaranteed contract?)

Sucks. We're not winning a championship with him this year. He's probably jetting this offseason (He already signed with Memphis and we matched remember). Danny should've taken the best deal possible IMO.

I like Lou as our 6th man more than I would've liked to have Jamal back. Teague needs to be traded IMO. He isn't better than Harris at starting PG and now has no place as our 6th man. He also isn't aggressive enough to be a 6th man.

I hope we get it in 2014 draft which is MUCH stronger than next years.

Are you serious? I would MUCH rather be in the lottery than keep getting embarrassed in the playoffs year after year

We aren't close to cracking the finals and you can't restructure in the nba.

Joker you are EXTREMELY overvaluing Josh Smith. Like ridiculously overvaluing him.

1. We have to trade Josh. It just has to be done, can't let him walk for nothing. That is the worst possible scenario.2. The league knows this (why he should've been traded last year IMO) and we won't get equal value for Josh. But anything is better than losing him for nothing.3. Joker, it isn't always about talent. Josh has tons of talent but can't figure it out and who knows if Teague will ever figure it out also. Production > talent.

His draft picks were pretty solid considering they are all late 1st rounders and he actually got useful players in the 2nd rounders (we just sell our 2nd rounders now because we don't know how to scout apparently). His trades weren't that bad either except for the last one but he was also under LeBron's pressure to do something then.

Long time (couple of years) lurker of this forum and long time fan (unfortunately) of the Hawks here... SOMETHING has to give with this franchise. We had a buyer last year and turned out he got denied. ASG has to find a buyer for this team. Then we need to hire a GM from the Spurs organization (Dennis Lindsey?) Smith needs to be traded over the summer (so we won't get nothing in return for him), so does Marvin, Joe does also but it's unlikely. No way in hell we should be trading any picks for cash, but when we do we trade the 2nd rounder we got from the Suns instead of our own (As it stands today Suns pick will be higher). just venting a little here....but sooner or later ASG has to sell the team and it will get better right? (atleast that's what i'm telling myself!)
