  1. How many wide open 3s have we missed this game?
  2. Bruno is looking better than OO this game.
  3. Come on man he was 35 and 17 w/ 48% shooting. To win the game, Trae needs to go 40 and 20? We gotta stop pointing the finger at Trae and look at those around him. The door matts are where I'd start personally.
  4. What are you suggesting here? You think the reason we're losing is because Quin didn't go deep enough into our awful bench?
  5. I'm at the airport so I can't watch the game but box-score watching Trae was 17-8 in the first quarter? Holy mackerel! Show OG what he could be rockin wit Trae!!
  6. You think he would reveal the Hawks super secret "get more calls" plan that easily? He only says the real strategy behind closed doors.
  7. OG shoots a higher percentage from 3 and plays all-NBA defense. I think he is a more "pure" 3+d player, where Siakim is much better creating off the dribble but cant shoot a 3 to save his life. I personally feel like OG is a much better fit even if Siakim is a better player.
  8. I get it. The refs have delicate sensibilities (especially this season) and can't hang with the language that everyone uses on the court. But here's the thing, I don't buy 300 dollar tickets thinking "Omg I can't wait to see how the rookie ref is going to fare today!" I'm there to watch nba stars play basketball. If they're getting thrown out of the game consistently across the league, it means the league is putting a worse product on the floor, and inevitably disappointing the fans. I understand there has to be a line somewhere, but that line should be getting in the refs face and barking, pushing the ref and stuff like that. Saying a mild insult in passing after a blatantly missed a call shouldn't be enough to get thrown out. Clapping and yelling "let's go Hawks" when across the court from the red shouldn't e enough to get you thrown out. And with all of this talk about professionalism, what about professionalism from the refs? It's OK for them to have personal vendettas with Trae and not call the game evenly because if it? That's insane to me.
  9. @JeffS17 I wish Jokic, Tatum, Giannis, Trae, and Hunter had a modicum of professionalism and respect and then maybe they would *earn* the right to play well officiated basketball from the zebras.
  10. I don't hate it if they are both committed to resigning. Will OO step up as the starting center? I'd love him to get more comfy with the 3 point shot. We would have to pick up a center with the MLE or TPE. Any you have in mind? I wish we could get Zubac with the TPE.
  11. I'm really nervous about Siakim's terrible 3pt shooting, hes shooting 21%(!!!) this season. If we trade Hunter for Siakim, we are going to have very poor spacing with he and Capella being complete non-shooters. I feel like this trade would make the game harder for Trae and Murray on many of our current actions since Siakim's defender will be able to sag way off of him.
  12. Our current roster + John Collins + Aaron Holliday was 50% last year. OO has taken a step back, AJ has taken a HUGE step back. Quin is a fantastic head coach, but he isn't Moses for crying out loud. What do you expect him to do with this roster? How many wins do you think playing over the hill Patty Mills and Bruno nets us over our current record?
  13. Our razer thin front court seems to be the biggest problem to me. Is that trae's fault too?
  14. Wes is awful. I'm starting to wonder if he has naked pics of Quin or something how the hell does he get minutes?
  15. Vintage Trae! Exploiting the mismatch for the floater.
  16. The thing that gives me hope is we are actually creating easy buckets. Let's not revert to hero ball!
  17. When's the last time Matthews hit a three? It feels like ages ago. Jokic has been feasting since Capella went to the bench.
  18. His shot is insanely fast. He doesn't even need to step into the shot he just goes straight up with it the second it hits his fingers.
  19. There's a lot of guys where I'd question their desire to play and accuse of "sandbagging", but Trae has been a veritable iron man every year of his career.
  20. One thing I've noticed is we seem to be asking our big to bump the ball handler on pick and rolls instead of dropping as a way to compensate for our awful point of attack defense. My guess is (and what I see) OO is still trying to figure out how to recover to the roll man in these more advanced actions. I expected Clint to have a harder time with the higher movement expectations than OO.
  21. The Matthew's experiment has to end. He isn't giving us anything. His defense looks like Kent Bazemore, he's all over the place but not stopping anybody.
