  1. Bogut works better than Favors, but if we're moving Josh to the 3 I don't like Evans at the 2 because he can't shoot. Unfortunately, we missed the boat on Harden...
  2. For real. How often have we seen our Hawks just roll over after going down like that in the past? We played with a lot of fire in the 4th! I really, REALLY like this team! Sweet ball movement when Lou doesn't have the ball (he was ice cold tonight), play hard on defense. Smith played really well at the 3 actually!
  3. Spurs are not giving us all of that for Smith. I doubt they'd even give us Leonard.
  4. No we don't need a designated guy. For all the hate LD gets (and I certainly contribute), he draws up plays at the end of games well for various players.
  5. Maybe. He was given the ball on the block a handful of times and couldn't do much with it. We don't give him the ball on the pick n' roll nearly enough though.
  6. Don't know if he will take over this team or even become the best player, but he's got a lot of potential, and with the plethora of "point guards" out there we could probably sign him to a nice deal.Parker is a good comparison for his play style. Parker is a lot better right now though.
  7. Denver has some depth they might be willing to give up between McGee and Chandler and others. SA is also a possibility, but the best we could hope for there is Splitter probably.
  8. He needs to stay right here. The dude can play. Unless trading him nets us a big-time player.
  9. Dude, I think Teague played great, and a lot better than Harris did. Just pointing out he needs to pass a bit better. That's what we do on this site, right?
  10. It's not quite that simple. We don't know if he'll command a max contract, we don't know if he wants to stay, we don't know if he'll want to go to a team that will require a sign and trade. In fact, I think the only thing we really do know is the trade market for him isn't great. There are a lot of good PFs out there, and nobody wants to give up too much value for an expiring Josh that might walk.If something comes up that is a knock out, Ferry will hop on that. I believe a Josh trade will involve more than just Josh, probably Josh and Harris/Teague + Morrow/Korver/Jenkins, with Ferry looking to reel in a bigger fish.
  11. Never said that. He just is a little wild with his passing. He does seem to recognize the open man, he just has a little trouble getting it to them where they want it. I saw him throw it behind Zaza and Horford a couple of times when they could've had a dunk. Harden or Gallo (with their passing/shooting ability) would look really nice next to Teague and Horford and Josh.
  12. I love Horford (he's my favorite player), but tonight's game highlighted the 3 things keeping him from being a #1 option in my eyes:1. He has trouble creating his own offense, particularly in the post against stronger players. He had a lot of trouble posting up Perkins because he lacks moves. He needs to work on an up and under.2. He's not aggressive enough sometimes. He plays with heart, but doesn't always want to put the team on his back, and I'm not sure he can.3. He hasn't gotten to the free throw line enough.I think he can be the focus of a darn nice PnR offense though, even if he doesn't improve on the above.
  13. He's gotta work on his passing; he keeps throwing passes behind people. He looks sweet attacking the rim with confidence though.
  14. He's still not aggressive enough and I think he's much better as a number 2 or 3, but yeah, he's very good.
  15. The might entertain Horford for West/George, but I doubt they'd like Josh on an expiring contract.
  16. I meant that as a compliment. Agree to disagree, I suppose, because I admit I am a Ginobili nuthugger, but Ginobili in his prime was the one who put that team on his back in crunch time. He was a much better defender and passer than Harden. Harden has the tools to be a purer scorer than Ginobili, but Ginobili carried Argentina to a gold medal over the U.S. That's nothing to sneeze at. Edit: And Ginobili was a lot better then than Joe has ever been. I was pointing out that Harden and Ginobili have similar playstyles.
  17. If we're trading Josh I'd like some assets: picks, young players, and solid players on small contracts. And if we trade Josh missing the playoffs is ok. Draft a solid player or 2 and stockpile assets for the next Harden/Howard/CP3 deal. Someone like Kevin Love.
  18. +1. We can effectively run on a make. The Suns did. We'd just much rather run on a rebound (obviously).
  19. He's unrestricted, so we can't technically match it. We just make an offer (or not).
  20. Harden is a lot closer to what Ginobili would be if he ever had his own team (I suppose Ginobili's team was Argentina). Prime Ginobili was a LOT better than Joe ever was (and a lot better than Harden, for that matter).
  21. I said this in another thread and people tell me to wait till the end of the season. I get that, but sheesh, he's entering his 9th year! And he plateaued 3 or so years ago!
  22. Horford didn't play well. At all. But Asik is REALLY underrated and easily a top 5 defensive C. And people say he got overpaid...We didn't have a great game but it was one game.
  23. They're going to try to make the playoffs this year. And if they don't, the only way we get Bogut is if we take a bad contract off their hands plus give them a pick.
  24. I agree that Shabazz is really good. But next year's draft is the one to tank for. A solid 5 franchise players at the top of the draft, similar to 2003. Wiggins/Parker/Randle/Gordon/Vonleh and more. Although I'm really high on Zeller as a Bosh/Aldridge style 4.
