  1. Look guys. Harden was a RESTRICTED free agent. Houston is actually doing him a favor signing him to that max rather than matching someone else's max. He knows he wasn't leaving Houston. Houston would've matched whatever offer he received. Instead, they showed some faith in him and signed him to the team's max.
  2. Pekovic is pretty much an automatic two points when he gets the ball in the deep post.
  3. I guess. I'll happily eat crow if he ends up deserving one. But he's never shown that he can be that guy on a consistent basis. Who knows, maybe he can turn it around, but I doubt it.
  4. I'd rather let Josh walk than sign him to the max.
  5. He's got some talent but he's dumb as a post from what I've heard.

Maybe. I think they more just needed a star. They made a gamble. At worst, if they're still bad they get a good pick and Toronto and Dallas are both bad and give OKC some more talent. At the very least, they have cap room, Harden, and a tremendously underrated C going forward.

Reddit's a website forum and occasionally celebrities hold "Ask Me Anything" discussions, where people can ask them whatever and they'll answer! I think I can see what he was going for. Honestly, for better or worse, That Toronto pick was a better asset than Lowry. He wouldn't have gotten Harden with Lowry.
  8. I like tanking for Wiggins/Parker/Randle/Gordon next year and tanking for our frontcourt this year, but the above scenario doesn't seem too likely.Edit: I'd rather trade Josh to a fringe playoff team so we move ahead of them in draft order.

Houston overpaid for Harden, and Lowry can ball, but Houston has cap room for a max free agent this coming year and the assets to make another trade. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Aldridge in a Rockets uniform by the end of the season.
  10. Plus Teague, Harris, and Lou should be able to get in the lane and the PnR should help get people open. And if the opposing team single covers Josh or Horford hopefully they can make something happen.
  11. There's a pretty nice crop of Cs coming in the next couple of years to my understanding. But yes, the C ain't what it used to be.
  12. Still can't run an offense. He's like a worse Doc Rivers.
  13. You had me until Paul Pierce. KG is the superstar. The difference between Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce ain't much IMO. On topic, I am not totally against blowing it up and rebuilding for the next couple of years because between Zeller, Shabazz and maybe Noel this year and then Wiggins, Parker and Randle the next year, there are some guys with the chance of becoming that superstar we've needed forever.
  14. Not a fan of that contract. Maybe if he gets his head on straight.
  15. Unless Bynum stays healthy and proves he can be the focal point of an offense, they really aren't that great. They need shooters and a 4 badly.
  16. Deshawn would like a (probably unintelligible) word with you. Unless last year was a fluke.
  17. If it becomes clear Josh isn't going to stay/we aren't going to make the playoffs, Denver might go for something like this...Wilson Chandler, Koufos, Evan Fournier, and maybe a future pickfor Josh, plus maybe Korver or Morrow (though that might net us an extra asset). While that's a step back talent wise, it gives us a 3 and a 5, plus 2 other assets on nice deals. We probably slip out of the playoffs and get an ok draft pick (crossing my fingers for Zeller). I imagine we'd make a follow-up trade with all of our expirings. On top of that, we can pretty easily field a full 13-15 man playoff-caliber roster while being under the cap (not the tax threshold, the cap), giving us the room and assets to take back a stud when the opportunity arises.Edit: I understand that Chandler is pretty much Marvin, though a bit less of a cap killer with maybe more upside. Maybe. But I didn't particularly want to trade Marvin anyway and the trade market for Josh right now probably isn't huge (at least, if we're looking for ok deals).
  18. As much as I'd love to have Cousins, we're not getting him in a trade. Gotta wait till he's a free agent.
  19. Honestly, I love Josh. I do. But every single one of those could be turned into "Josh is just a little too stubborn."
  20. David Blatt? Maybe Stan Vand Gundy? I doubt Drew gets resigned unless he does an awesome job.

Dude. Ivan is the man. I hope he's here for a long time.
  22. We're looking a lot more like the Spurs of last year than the Heat or the Warriors, and with this squad that's a good thing.
