KAT makes so a lot of sense on paper until you watch him play consistently and not just clips. Dude is such a fake tough guy. He’d destroy whatever culture Landry is supposedly trying to build.

I can already hear Koonin coming on Dukes and Bell saying “we tried to improve the team using the TPE but nothing made sense, takes two to tango.. blah blah blah and we’re confident in our team.” Seems like hawks use puffy K to try to do control damage when FO/ownership make dumb decisions. I’ll gladly eat crow but I’m willing to bet we don’t pay the tax or even use the TPE to make us better.

This whole using the trade exception thing feels like FO just trying to mitigate the obvious negative reaction by fans. I’d be very surprised if they actually use it to improve the team. I call BS until we see at least one tiny bit of evidence that shows Ressler is willing to pay the LT. Every move, other than Bey, has been to get under budget.

I don’t think you need to give up 2 first rounders for Porzingis. The Capela trade feels like a trade just to make one. But I’m all over the JB trade. Perfect backcourt mate to Trae. Only way that works is if Brown asks out and names Hawks as one his destinations. Even then, we’ll probably have to give up AJ and or picks.
