  1. Shameful. There was a clear intend. And the way he went about it, it could have ended allot more severe. Not to mention, kids watch this getting a waiver. And its one thing when two guys go brawling at each other, another when heavy suckerpunches are being thrown. But the NBA these days would prolly punish the brawling much more.
  2. Im dissapointed by Dennis last 2 games as well. The first two games where good to excellent offensively and considering Jack scored on everyone and had a bunch of TO's it wasnt like he was torching Dennis due to Dennis on his end. Last nights game I've seen a bunch of situations where I thought he should be doing things differently on offense, but the "momentum change" started when he was passing early and his team-mates made like 3 quick TO's in a row, which Dennis then joined in doing them as well, instead of calming the game down. The thing with the ISO's is that Bud wants them to happen, to also create versatility in the Hawks game. The way they spread the lanes for Dennis ISO's is often to primitive. They need to find ways for Dennis to have options kicking the ball out on his drives. Now they usualy just stand there being guarded at the 3 point line.
  3. Whats with these sissy injuries, getting star athletes in the prime of their lives, during the last and most important bit of the season getting these lenghty breaks? I told about me having a broken toe and not even noticing it(adrenaline - yes it hurt a bit) for 5 hours of soccer practice, and coming back practicing kicking a few days later. Well I also seen many such shoulder popping out injuries, including an instance where one guy who popped someones shoulder out, locked it back in by himself on the guy he did it to. After some painful smirks on the sideline, he went right on playing. And I always thought Europeans and their sports are the sissy's. Well surely, a guy like Love needs a smooth stroke, but 2 weeks vs Chicago playofftime?
  4. Dallas being Dallas again. What the refs prevented last game, they could not with a 19 point lead enetring the 4th. Simply stay making buckets. Lets see if the opponent can make as many.
  5. Even when we win the title, you will go "this team isnt that good", "we got lucky Curry started chocking", "easiest matchups in playoff history" etc. Come on man, enoy the ride for a sec and hope for the best. The off season is for being about future improvements and the Hawks are on some upwards dynamics recent years. So why not just appreciate that, instead of comparing this team to the 86 celtics or showtime lakers. It isnt done yet.
  6. The game was close as can be though, despite honestly the worst reffing I have seen in a long time and Ellis just wasting the game winning shot. There was a sort of a J-Smoove effect going for Dallas last night. The reffs burried it though. Worst calls at the worst of times. But at least this also was the first game I've seen where Harden actually stoud out as some sort of MVP caliber. This time most his points where not FT's. But then again the rest of the Rockets got their turn. I think the NBA wants the rockets and "mvp candidate Harden" fresh going into further series. Its just a farce, similar to the Isreali scammers Backgammon site Im playing. Fixing games to whatever is clever for the bottom-line.
  7. Pelicans where hanging on all three games till the 4th quarter. They are just young and missing a piece or two.
  8. I cant wait to see this young fellow NBA ready. 00:02. No way players can get it into their hearts to score on him. Being cute is all the D he needs.
  9. 1000 times this. Adding to that is that hugely overpowering PG's have shown to be Dennis's cryptonite in other games. Dennis showed some mistakes, but other shots where just huge by Jack. Jack is playing above himself. Still, Dennis is able to even the score and get that +/- 0 and do his own damage. So what do the Nets still have left besides the Jack weapon?
  10. I love me some gallows humor. Some quotes from the Mavs forum: "Well that worked out great. F him. He can bang a Kardashian and visit Odom in a drug rehab or whatever." "Was he injured?" "Apparently he seems to be missing a backbone..." "It has to be said... Rondo is out with an injured vagina." "I actually think there are two Mark Cubans, and at least one of them is a Muslim." "Lakers were hiding that Odom had a drug problem and shipped him out before it went public, basically stealing a 1st and a TE...shameless Donnie wanted to draft Giannis but Cuban made a major f*** up Rondo was a solid gamble and the price wasnt high - no one thought Rondo is THAT much of an idiot."
  11. Dennis had a +/- of 0. Took over a single digit lead, which got to a double digit lead under him, and then melted away soon. Then build a double digit lead when he was subbed back in again, which was blown under Teague. Just stating the facts...If he had played 38 minutes(*:)) instead of 19, he would have had(*:)) 24 points, 12 assists, 4 steals, on 2 TO's. Not bad for someone new to being relevant in playoff basketball. That said he's 50-40-100 this young series, so bad shot or not, hes making them. The only real thing bothering me was Jarret Jack scoring. And that was really bothersome. But then again, he scored on everybody last night...
  12. True. I just didnt think Rondo would be so willing to fail seeing he has a contract pending. Well LA seems desperate enough.
  13. Dallas went from a fun loving all offense machine with defensive deficits, to to many diva's. No one runs a play for another. Rondo was a true cancer. Not only because of his own play, or him and Monta being a bad fit together, but he prolly also has a huge role in Monta acting up off the court and not being the kind of guy he was last year: a servicable player thankful whenever he got to shine. Monta and Rondo are said to be friends, so there is that. Two millionaire young'uns pouting because they dont get theirs. Ive said it after the third game with Rondo: "The Mavs are frustrating to watch". Im so thankful the Hawks have been just the opposite.
  14. the way the nets handled him last game though, made him put up ray allen, reggie miller type numbers.
  15. looking back at the tanking discussion last year....
  16. Playoffs is a whole other game. I remember those Nets vs Miami last year. Dallas vs San Antonio etc. A win is a win. And we did it with lots of room for improvement.
  17. Schröder looked to be in playoffs mode after his last two lackluster recovery games. And while I understand some resting, I think Bud has overdone it as the season ended. Imo he should have warmed them up last few games. And the Chicago game should have been treated something like a general repitition and get those winning genes juices flowing.
  18. I've never been to Atlanta, but from what I gathered I can imagine that post Giuliani/Bloomberg Manhattan clubs are nothing like Atlanta clubs. Nowadays It takes real ching to club in dowtown manhattan for anyone in these clubs. So I think its safe to say that you are less likely to be caught up in some incident caused by a crazed person. What if all this had happened at 4 am in front of a Connecticut country club? You know, a club is not like any club.
  19. Media in general is guilty of this, and already way before the internet. Even in srs print media. I dont think thats the issue. Also looking at that horse video and many others, you see acting out of violence in an almost mundane way. As if its natural to the purpetrators to do this kind of shit. One cop goes off, next one joins in, and then Jimmy and Hank come in to round up the party. Its like half the precinct had its share in brutally not caring if someone dies or not. Surely most police do a good job. I think the area and its police culture plays a big role. And that being said, I think the major concern is that, even after such videos come out, the policemen often get away with it. Thats the outragious part to me. Since it breeds such a brutal police culture in certain areas and shows the worldstar generation how to do it yourselves. People underestimate how important integrity within the system is to society as a whole.
  20. Hope Thabo uses his time off to make an example out of these hooligans.
  21. Civil society like a military bootcamp mentality. Cops need to stop being such p*ssy's and stop doing this going out of their way to protect themselves. Their job comes at a cost. People on an assembly line doing the same monotone stuff each day hour after hour pay their own costs. That would drive me nuts. Driving around, chatting, and trying to look impressive sounds like a good job to me. The cost is staying cool when it gets hot those few minutes of the day at max. No one owes you a living doing an easy job where wherever it gets difficult you can go shoot or beat down. Earn yours by serving and protecting.
