Nate needs to establish that DJM is the energizer of the team on defense, and our "Scottie Pippen" on offense. He's the guy who should get those secondary assists, and run the 2nd unit. Trae must be the offensive engine because he's a better passer and can score in more ways than DJM. If DJM has the better matchup at the end of a game, let him close it out.

Oh definitely that. I agree he should've challenged that for a clear path foul.

Diesel . . you talk like the Nets are the 2004 Pistons. Brooklyn is an improved defensive team, but they're not a lockdown defensive team. In that situation, I personally like the option of trying to get the ball to Collins in the paint. With that amount of time left, you literally have time to take 3 dribbles, pass it, and have someone shoot it. You have to trust that the coaches can come up with a great inbounds play. We've seen them do it twice. Why not trust them a 3rd time?

Because that foul wasn't obvious. And they're definitely not calling a foul like that on Durant.

Nate just said it. He wanted to catch the Nets in transition and get down before their defense was set. And he didn't want to have their defensive team out on the floor. Here's the problem . . their entire team was back on defense except for Claxton. Kyrie makes the best play right there, by picking up Murray before he crossed halfcourt. And Durant is tracking Dejounte too as he crosses halfcourt. LOL . . then Nate says that DJ didn't "see anybody", so he took the best shot he could.

Totally disagree Diesel. You have 4 seconds to run a play. You bring in JJ to inbound the ball, which reduces the impact that a 6-10 Simmons would have guarding the inbounds play. You put DJM, Bogi, A Holiday, and Collins on the floor. And you run some action to get Murray free, with Bogi being the secondary target. You also can throw it at Collins in the paint if he's open. We only need a 2 in that situation. Even the guys at NBA TV are questioning why they didn't call a timeout at the end.

Diesel . . you have to call timeout in that situation. They only had at most 4 seconds to get the ball up court. And their entire team was back on defense. Yes, it was a foul, but the refs aren't calling that type of foul 35 feet from the basket. I think OO even tried to call timeout initially.

He better have a great explanation as to why he didn't call timeout on that final play.

WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU NOT CALL TIMEOUT? DID WE HAVE A TIMEOUT?

If we get a stop here, we might steal this game. Just don't give up a 3.

LOL. . Trae is normally setting up Bogi for wide open 3s. Bogi has had to work for every 3 point shot he's taken tonight. Murray shot that FT with no confidence whatsoever. Come on dude.

OMG . . Nets damn near throw the ball out of bounds, and they end up with a lob at the rim. Hawks still playing hard though. A Hol . . . WHAT!!

Of course I'm watching the game. And I know why Bogi isn't getting his normal 3 point looks tonight.

You're not watching the game, are you? There's a reason Bogi can't get his shots up.

Hawks have missed 6 FTs. That's basically the difference in the game right now.

Hawks are 1 - 17 FG on shots outside of the paint in the 2nd half.

Kyrie on a 8 - 0 run by himself to break the game open.

What can you do when you have guys who can make a shot like that? Kyrie just rose up and drained that 3 with someone in his face . . . then came down and did it again. 11 point lead for the Nets . . just like that.

We really needed AJ's offense tonight. But like I said, he's a rookie, and he's not going to bring it consistently on a nightly basis. So it's really up to Bogi to spark us.

Hawks down to 45% FG. They must start making shots, because these guys don't draw fouls and get to the FT line. Definitely danger time for the Hawks right here.
