  1. He hasn't been very good? - 2 All-Star appearances - 25 ppg - 9 asst career average Capela is absolutely thriving under him. Bogi has had career highs playing with him. John Collins, because of his lack of off the dribble game, is highly dependent on Trae getting him the ball in the right spots. This year, the only thing that's significantly down, is his 3 point shooting. Trae needs to be more efficient, that's beyond a shadow of a doubt. But he also needs to not be held back offensively. Even a bad shooting Trae can have tremendous impact on the game.
  2. 10th in 2nd chance points given up. LOL @ me not knowing that I was posting in the thread about Dre getting 30 rebounds.
  3. I was just thinking about this very thing on my way to work, while looking at that thread about Dre reaching 30 rebounds. There should definitely be a stat that tracks "contested rebounds" vs "uncontested rebounds". I will say this about defensive rebounding. It's the last part of defense, and arguably the most important part of defense next to closing out on 3 point shooters. The fact that we're a top 10 team defensively in 3 point FG%, but we're top 5 in 3 pointers given up, is a direct result of us not securing defensive rebounds to prevent 2nd chance points. We're now #21 in Defensive rebound %. Not sure where we rank in 2nd chance points given up, but it has to be high. That's a killer in games decided by 6 points or less.
  4. Dre Day . . . or more like Dre Quarter 1st quarter 2nd quarter 3rd quarter 4th quarter
  5. They're a tough team to guard because they can play so big. And all of their bigs can shoot, which clears the way for Banchero to wreck shop in the paint and off the dribble on the perimeter. Their starting lineup was like the Monstars in height. 6-10 6-10 6-11 7-2 6-4
  6. The game/quarter that always sticks out to me as a Hawk fan, was that Utah game in which they outscored us 40 - 13 to win the game. Mehmet Okur went off on us from 3. And we couldn't stop AK47 ( Andrei Kirilenko ) either. JJ, Smoove, and the boys were horrible in that quarter. And I agree that Nate is somewhat coaching up the young guys. When we get everyone back, this period should help us as we go into January.
  7. The great Luka Doncic . . . down by 19 at halftime at home vs Cleveland. He's -21 in the game, by the way, on 4 - 14 FG shooting.
  8. Nope. Give me a record. Because he plays more of an ISO game than Trae does. How does Doncic functions if he doesn't have anyone around him who can shoot the ball? You'd be rooting for him to take 30 shots . . or despise him like you do Trae.
  9. I've bought 2 Trae jerseys so far. The first one after the 49 point - 4 OT game in his rookie year. And I bought the white #11 after Game 3 of the Miami series last year. I should've bought the MLK #11.
  10. Nope. We have 3 starters hurt. Can't judge this team with this many people hurt. We're just in mid-December. No need for hot takes like that . . . yet.
  11. What did Trae do tonight that showed that he was looking for highlights? He had more assists than he did shots.
  12. The Wagner bros, Bol, and Bamba shot 11 - 18 from 3 tonight. Dre with 25, but only 2 pts in the 2nd half.
  13. Well the Hawks won when I was watching them. I saw a 102 - 85 win.
  14. Hunter only 3 shots in the 2nd half. ( 0 - 3 ) He froze himself out.
  15. Just can't get enough stops. Team is hurting all around.
  16. I don't know if anyone wants to step up or not. So you know what? . . . Shoot the ball, Trae. I knew it was coming . . .
  17. AJ has sat a long time. And here he comes back just as I was typing this. Give us something rook.
  18. LOL . . ugly possession, but we'll take it OO
  19. Hurt or not, you have to shoot that floater Trae. Good pass to a wide open Bogi, but your floater was the higher percentage shot.
