  1. Golden State's potential lineup going into next year's playoffs PG - Curry . . . . . . . . . Cook G - Thompson . . . . .. Livingston F - Durant . . . . . . . . . Iguodala F - Green . . . . . . . . . . Jerebko C - Cousins . . . . . . . . Bell Jerebko shot 41% from 3 last season. The rich get richer.
  2. Available point guard free agents Isaiah Thomas Jason Terry Ty Lawson Jordan "True Baller" Crawford Jameer Nelson Devin Harris Jarrett Jack Ramon Sessions Aaron Brooks Mario Chalmers Shane Larkin Josh Maggette
  3. OMG!! Did Diesel just defend Marvin?
  4. You sure? What makes Prince better than Lavine? Asking for a "friend" . . .
  5. That's a good attempt by Memphis using the MLE to acquire a decent rotation player. They lost Tyreke Evans, who went to Indiana. If signed, that puts Memphis right up against the Luxury Tax line, but not over it.
  6. Desperation meets desperation. That's a look in the future of the Hawks. Just wait until we offer Taurean Prince 20 million per. See if we feel the same way.
  7. LOL. I liked the decisions Dennis made in those highlight clips. I don't know what he shot for the game, but it did look like he had no people getting others involved in the offense. When your shot isn't falling, you have to make others better.
  8. Trae . . . please watch how your "basketball dad" ( Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf ) plays the game. Study his mannerisms. Watch how he uses his body to get his shot off, despite being undersized. Most of all, watch his discipline and control. NOTE . . . just don't emulate your "basketball uncle" ( Salim Stoudamire ) on defense.
  9. Or . . . Hawks keep Melo for the season, hope he shows some value, and tries to trade him for a 1st or 2nd round pick to a contending team at the trade deadline PG - Schröder G - Baze F - Prince PF - Melo C- Collins Or if he agrees, let Melo be the 6th man.
  10. Side note. Sue Bird is 93 years old . . and still balling like she's 22. Killing the Dream tonight.
  11. That's what desperation does to you. They can't attract free agents to come to them, so they have to take chances on young guys like Lavine. Wow . . . fully guaranteed with no options? OK Chicago. Whatugonnado?
  12. He said flat out before Summer League started, that he wasn't going to try to change much about how Trae plays basketball. So the "chuck and dish" type game that Trae played at Oklahoma, would be permitted in Summer League. Then he was preaching for the team to run uptempo at the fastest pace possible. So yes, some of this blame definitely goes on Pierce, especially since he's right there at Summer League.
  13. NO. The issue with Trae is that he's not only struggling, he looks completely overwhelmed. Under no circumstances is he playing even decent, despite the passing being there. Some of his turnovers look like high school turnovers, in which he has no clue as to where to throw the ball. I know people are saying not to panic, and "this is just summer league". But there are red flags all over the place with this dude. If he doesn't get a lot more mentally tough, this league will devour him, and we'll be right back looking for a PG in 2 years . . . or contemplating giving Dennis a 5 yr / 150 mill contract. LOL . . I can't wait to see the discussion on that topic, if Trae doesn't pan out.
  14. Great article on him written in August 1986. Wow . . 32 years ago. http://www.pophistorydig.com/topics/ted-turner-cnn-1980s-1990s/
  15. TBH . . . Acie looked much better. Even in Acie's rookie year, he was looking like he'd be a decent backup PG, before he got hurt. After he got hurt, the great vet ( Anthony Johnson ) made him expendable. I think we need a poll to grade Trae's performance in Utah. I'm not a premium member, so I can't make a poll.
  16. Back in high school, and the 1 year of small college ball I've played in . . I know what that feels like. When you're facing people who are bigger, faster, and stronger that you, and you can't get your game going offensively, it's definitely demoralizing. You just have to fight through it, and most important, be a smarter player. You can't play dumb when your shots aren't falling.
  17. Because Dennis wasn't a top 5 pick, and potentially being hailed as the franchise's savior. I definitely questioned early on if Dennis could last in this league, especially with that low projectory set shot that he was shooting. But he's managed to use his speed to get enough space to shoot the midrange jumper. Like Lonzo Ball, the midrange game is missing from Trae's game, because all of these coaches and analytics people swear up and down that "long 2s" are the worst shot in the game. It's a philosophy that has killed the efficiency of some of these kids coming out of college. True shot creators MUST have that midrange game in their arsenal, to keep them from being so easy to guard. A guy like Trae, who is undersized, can't just live off of 3s, or trying to get to the rack. He must have an intermediate game, much like Dennis has.
  18. Grayson is straight. That's why I wanted him with one of those late picks. Of course, other franchises who can properly evaluate talent, took him far sooner than the "experts" thought. He'll fit right in with the Jazz, and their fan base will immediately embrace him . . antics and all.
  19. LOL . . true. I'm one of the few Dennis supporters left here. I personally don't want him going anywhere until we see exactly what we have in Trae. If we trade Dennis for peanuts, and Trae's game never transitions to the NBA ( or it takes 2 - 4 years for him to start to reach his potential ), we're going to be forced to overpay a point guard in free agency, just to be competitive for an 8th seed.
  20. Welp . . . looks like we're panicking. You can stop this, Trae. Just play better this weekend in Vegas.
  21. Problem is that the other guys at least showcased their "billed" talent in at least 1 game. Even JJJ had 3 blocks tonight. Trae's playmaking will translate, so I'm not worried about that. But he has to get a lot more mentally tough on the court. That was my major concern with him last winter. It'll be a shame if Colin Sexton turns out to be the better player, especially with Colin right in the Hawks backyard.
  22. Totally agree. If he's not ready, forcing him to play big minutes might make him worse. And once his teammates lose confidence in him, it's a wrap. Even though Lonzo Ball struggled last season shooting the ball, the team still had confidence in him because his passing was on point, and he still played defense. If Dennis is traded, Schlenk is looking to win less than 20 games this season. And with the top 3 worst records all having the same lottery odds, finishing last makes no difference anymore.
  23. Spellman reminds me of a less athletic, but smarter version of Josh Smith. I have no concerns about him at all.
