Im not too worried about the scoring by committee statement by bud. Its the spurs way and it has been successful. outside of duncan everyone on that team is later picks. Granted they got lucky with ginobili and parker being steals but I dont think the spurs have ever had a pick as high as 15 this decade. We will pick a good wing. Our players will develop. We still remain flexible cap wise. Sounds good to me

Helllllllll nooooo. We just throwing in kyle korver like that LOL
-
I dont think jenkins will ever be as effective as korver. Sure dmc got cold in the series near the end, but he was hot for the 1st 3 games. He didnt shoot as poorly overall and I dont think jenkins would have made much of a diff. that being said, I dont think its time to give up on him. I think they do see him as the danny green, but I just wish he was a little more dynamic

his workout vid left me very unimpressed. I cant see him shining on the perimeter nor will he be a good post up option. Only way I see him blossoming is if he's running alongside a "rondo" and finds a niche as a lockdown defender. I cant see him avg 20 points ever.

this is correct. Lavine's father was displeased with the fact lavine didnt even get to run the 2nd unit and that the coach was grooming his son for next season's starting pg duties. Rather than transfer, his father felt it was best to head to the nba

THABEET?? Your clueless if you believe that. LoL

Bench millsap? Just so we can technically "have a strong bench." Lol start millsap and horford. That is our most talented front court and they play with each other great. how about actually get more talent for the bench thru free agency? Marshon brooks(cheap) can be better than lou with better size. A jodie meeks can be a good bench player at the right price.

Parker/embiid....both upgrade us I dont care which one we get. Win/win decision for us. I love wiggins as a prospect but I've learned my lesson after marvin. Measurables aside, the other two guys can flat out ball.

I agree man. He has a new interview on draftexpress. This kid exudes confidence and believes he will be an allstar in the future. We need to come away with some star potential in this draft.

I believe we are on the cusp of becoming that big market. I also believe if we bring him over and we continue to play great basketball, then he wont want to leave after being in a winning environment for the first time in his career.

What about a trade like teague + bebe + 15 pick for irving and varajao we get our superstar....they dont have to max him out + we give them young prospects
-
Why is this asik deal the only rumor we hear? Are there no other viable trade targets? Its frustrating to constantly see teams targeting our best players and not offering anything of substantial value.

Weighing the advantages/disadvantages of blowing up the roster now
skimaskway23 replied to sturt's topic in Homecourt
I didnt know horford was really being targeted with the #1. I thought that was just us speculating. I would make that trade in a heartbeat. -
Ennis will be a good player in this league and he measured out very similar to damian lillard. I dont think he shoots as well as lillard nor do I think he will come close to his level. Ennis is solid at everything and especially his decision making but he isnt particularly elite at anything. I'll keep young schroe

aaron gordon would be interesting at #8, but I just dont see him passing the celtics AND lakers. Lakers really could market him as anti-blake griffin in staples haha. It would be a pipe dream but if we got that 8th pick for teague or millsap. And got to keep the 15th pick, we would have so much potential if we could haul aaron gordon and lavine/stauskas. Who would you take with 8 if gordon was gone?
-
Unless we can package that 8th pick I dont really care for it. There are power forwards slotted there and mcdermott is redundant when we got korver, we need athleticism. 15 is wear all the swingmen will be. We are fine where we are. Dennis didnt show anything last yr but it was expected at 19 yrs old. He still has elite potential and I can see how some would balk at the idea of trading him.

Another year, no legit prospects rumored to come to Atlanta
skimaskway23 replied to NBASupes's topic in Homecourt
if we were able to land love in a trade centered around millsap, would that be enough to lure melo? teague korver melo love horford Coach bud could make that work. -
I don't but it. Sacrifice our flexibility for an oft injured 15 million dollar center? Yea right. The idea of horford at the 4 trying to score against guys quicker than him is hilarious. Stay at the 5 and continue to draw the centers out and go to work. We should have a backup center that we can throw at bigs like gasol and hibbert but horf playing the 5 full time is a no no.
