Oh cmon....Van Horn had his way with even Boris. He got where ever he wanted to get on the floor. I'm just stating that they played poor defense on him and allowed him to get anywhere he wanted to. He was 5-6 or 6-7 shooting. The majority of them were jumpshots. So, how can a guy that only got off 5 shots be considered to be "taking it to the hole"? Well, considering his shooting percentage it's simple to say he just didn't shoot enough. It isn;t like the team stopped him from shooting. He's one of those players that just becomes unaggressive on offense out of nowhere. Anyway, I make my point. If you want to agree with it or not that is up to you. Oh and hey Weez....good defensive players can react quick. You put a Ron Artest/Bruce Bowen in that situation and they;ll likely recover enough not to give up baskets inside. But your right in that a few shots doesn't overcome a good proformance on offense.

If Allan Houston gets 35 points on his typical shooting you say he's just hot. But if you allow these jump shooters to get into the lane you aren't doing a very good job on defense. If Van Horn and Houston are beating you one on one at the top of the key and getting to the basket...That's bad defense. If Vince Carter does it you say "Hey, that's Vince Carter and he's great at getting to the basket whenever he wants too" It's you that has no freakin clue. If Van Horn gets his 16PPG on jumpshooting there isn't a problem...But if you allow him to beat you one on one like he's Vince Carter you got a problem. Really, it's a fault of the entire team.. If there is anything that's made you dumber it's watching these guys try and play zone or whatever. I think the team has dumbed you down to what really basketball actually looks like. If Houston and Van Horn are getting to the hole and having sucess there is a problem. What does coaches always tell players? Force players to take long jumpshots and don't let them get into the lane. Just like other teams try and force Reef to the outside and score. Do you get my point or are you just that stupid?

Van Horn is a soft jumpshooter with no speed...Yet, he looks like MJ when Reef tries to guard him. This"KVH is a very good offensive player" is a load of crud.

Win? What? Looking at the win/loss record...When they do win it's due to dumb luck. I just can't see the point in praising a team that wins less than 3 out of every 10 games.

Deke is a nobody on defense now. He got scored over plenty of times last night. Sadly, his offense looked better than his defense last night. traveled? lol yeah whatever. Whenever Reef is exposed againest a player one on one he losses the battle most of the time. He has done a better job in the 4th periods though...ALot better. How long as it been since a real score first offense has won a title?

Reef's defense is still sorry. Defense is WAY more important than offense. But it isn't as bad as JT's defense. College basketball can't be all that great if JT won a defensive player of the year championship there.

Maybe you should check in the mirror. The point is that you aren't going to win shyt if the team is allowing jumpshooters like Van Horn and Houston to get to the basket. These guys are jumpshooters....It comes down to defense. I to hate Sheeds thugish attitude. The problem is that this team isn't getting anywhere and Jt has done nothing to help his trade value. In fact, his poor season even stat wise has had to hurt his value...He wasn't considered valuable by many during the offseason.. Why would that change with the team getting even worse and him playing even worse?

You'll get a problem player or more big contracts for JT/Theo. They aren't very good players. They both have HUGE flaws and more than one of them. Lets look... JT Poor passer bad defender His shooting percentage is declining every year His 3pt% has declined to a mediocre 33% this year Jt is a player nobody wanted in the offseason and now he's got good trade value when he's having his worst season since he was a rookie? Not only does he look bad on the court...but he's down to a losuy 15.8PPG 5APG. Lets look at THeo....What does he do besides block shots? He's not a good defender...He gets pushed around...He's not a good scorer or rebounder...He's declined the last two years.

Who plays defense on the team now? Surely you don't mean Theo"I only block shots" Ratliff. I'd get rid of JT/Theo for a rack of basketballs at this point.

One of the new owners was on 790 the zone in Atlanta this morning. He said there was a telephone call at 11:30 today that will decide whether a trade goes down or not. When pushed he made the comment that " if he was a good shooting guard that could me moved for a top 10 NBA player, then he would be ready to move" JT/Theo for Sheed??? We see that having Theo doesn't amount to much." That's because THeo is only a shot blocker. Str8 up he's not a good defensive player. Plus, Dallas and Sac Town haven't won a title. That's what this is about....Winning titles. No conference finals, no NBA finals...not the playoffs.The Spurs sure as heck didn't win the title with offense. When a team with offense first wins again then we'll talk. The problem is that the main core is made of soft players...That's not a good thing.

The problem with Nazr/Al/Reef is they are all poor defenders. You have to have some defense to win anything.

One thing about Reef...The few times he was matched up he couldn't even guard a 38 year old Scottie Pippen. But I saw a few parts of the game late and he seemed to play well. Stephen Jackson is another story...He scored alot of points, but he made bad fouls and bad turnovers again and again....He does more to hurt your team than help it. Nothing personal Diesel, but most of the stuff you said I figured out along time ago and alot of other people did aswell. How JT was DOY in college is beyond me...However, the team does seem to be playing better. I dunno how many games the team is back of 8th seed... but these wins probably does nothing to help the teams future as it could have a big effect on their lotto pick.

He's a reeses away from a Stanley Roberts or Never Nervious Pervis. He also doesn't rebound worth a crap. It would cost them Tyson Chandler at the least.
