  1. I got rid of all the Hawks players for Reef. It's hard to get a trade for and get a fair deal. Teams didn't seem to want him for some reason unless they got the better end of the deal...But this is my current team in franchise mode: PG:Dwayne Wade SG:Ray Allen SF:Bruce Bowen PF:Reef C:Eric Dampier PG:Rafer Alson SG:Josh Howard SG:Jason Kopono SG/SF:Boris Diaw SF:Lee Nailon PF:Corliss Williamson Pf:Alan Henderson C:Shawn Kemp
  2. They both foul too much....Thomas is the better offensive player.....Theo is quicker and the better shot blocker...Kurt is the better rebounder and I think he's tougher.
  3. Another one...When I watch games and watch the Hawks they get next to NOTHING in junk baskets. Almost every score for the Hawks has to be really hard earned due to lack of offensive rebounding and lack of ability to push the ball. This is a big rreason why the Hawks get blown out when they can't shoot well....
  4. Yeah whatever...Theo Crapliff has always went for weakside shot blocking rather than rebound. He did it in Philly aswell as here.... I know some feel that players always do what they are coached(PURE BS) but players tend to do certain things. No coach is going to teach a center not to rebound.
  5. From the beginning of the year, Theo has exacerbated that we should be getting the ball in the post. He believes Reef should be the focal point of the offense. (even Diaw said his job is to get Reef and Theo the ball) But Stotts believes in the college style of offense... or worse yet, the high school system where EVERYONE gets shots. " It isn't Stotts fault the NBA isnt real basketball anymore. No wonder the college game is supposed to be better than the NBA.... "Further, we DOUBLE EVERYONE?! What is that? " Because JT/SAR/Dion/Jax/Nailon/Theo can't defend one on one. The only ones that can defend one on one on this team is Vaughn and Diaw...That's IT. "The pick and roll with JT and Reef is, maybe, the worst play in basketball. JT can't get the ball off to Reef. Reef doesn't set a good screen and doesn't roll strong to the basket. Yet, we run this play 20 times a game." Yeah that's another problem if Reef...If it isn't scoring he doesn't understand how it works. JT only ran the pick n roll well with Lo...Can't remember him doing it good with anyone else.
  6. Guess that's why Theo didn't rebound in Philly either. Theo is a near worthless player. Besides, teams dont shoot 50% every game. Too many times THeo comes away with two or three rebounds. What a joke. If he can't score he should atleast rebound.
  7. Well it still doesn't mean much until the New owners backup what they say. I understand they don't have the team yet, but I will not get my hopes up until they do something to improve this team.
  8. This is coming from the guy that acted like Dog was the problem...This is the same guy that had 3 rebounds last night...He should probably shutup unless he wants to look at his own game aswell.
  9. YWasn't JT a 4 year college player? Doesn't it seem strange that despite that he has no fundamentals? That should tell you something. I don't know if there has ever been a dumber 4 year college player. Don't Zona have a good coach? If so,and he couldn't get JT to play right what makes you think anyone else can? The difference between the Hawks and Jazz is that Andrei/Harping/Tag and their other players can play defense..Reef/JT/Theo CAN'T. When you play defense you will be in close games most of the time. See when the Hawks can't score they are a terrible defensive team and so they can't keep games close on defense. And don't bring up FG% because giving up 97PPG is bad. A good college team would beat the Hawks with fundamentals ALONE.
  10. The Hawks are in a position where they have to start collecting lotto picks and you hope to find your star that way. Unless the hawks can get Ray Allen or some one you will have to collect lotto picks and take chances on players that have the potential to be explosive.
  11. I', sure it was the Hawks weak play. Often times the ref go againest you when you play like a bunch of creampuffs. To get blown out by the Heat you have to be playing like cream puffs.
  12. nd his team wins because he takes them to victory..." Actually the Titans are winning because of how many bad teams they have beat. They haven't beat a legit challenger this year. And no, Carolina is not a legit chanllenger...They are fools gold. Pats Colts Rams Eagles Are the challengers Titans KC Carolina Green Bay Those are the bogus teams.
  13. WOW! Boris is running the team in pointless junk games. This changes NOTHING. The Hawks don't need a Point Forward that can't score...They need a player with STAR POtential.
  14. If Peyton can have a decent playoff run I'm prepared to give him the best QB in the league title. I've bashed him in the passed, but he does deserve that title.

    Amazing!

The point is that right now there is no star for Diaw to complement. Sooner or later the dumb morons that run this team will realize JT/SAR aren't franchise players. Then where does that leave a role player like Boris?
  16. Plainview1981

    Amazing!

He has more pontenial to be one than Diaw....THe Hawks need a potential 20PPG 6RPG Swingman alot more than they need more Boris right now.
  17. Alot of people think the Hawks would give up alot more points without Theo. I dissagree...Whatever points Theo saves on blocks the Hawks give up in offensive rebounds and extra scoring chances... IF we can rebound better from the center spot then those less offensive rebounds given up would make up for Theo. And we wouldn't have a center that is crippled on offense.
  18. Plainview1981

    Amazing!

Just because Gm/scouts or whatever wants a player doesn't mean they think he's a superstar. Boris doesn't suck, it's just that this franchise needs a superstar player and that isn't Boris. Boris will be a great completment to a superstar but the problem is the Hawks don't have one.
  19. We would have two offensive threats that no team could afford to double. Similar to Waker/Pierce in Boston without all the missed 3 pters....we have 2 guys that can score with anybody... That can allow the other guy to take a break..." Same trash you said about Dog...The team scored, but still couldn't defend and lost. Jamison is a player that gets his numbers at the expense of team play. He does his own thing. Like at Reef/Jamison's win/loss record over the last 5 years...Enough said.
  20. That would be the worst starting backcourt in the NBA....SAR/Jamison are both wimps as players and all the things KB listed. Diesel that is just a terrible lineup
  21. Getting Jimmy Johnson out of retirement would be TOUGH and if they can't I can't see anyone other than JJ that the Falcons could get right now.
  22. Alot of the BUlls and Clippers problem is dumb/poor mangement and CHicago's refusel to dump the triangle offense. You aren't going to win with Reef or Jamison as your best player. THese guys aren't first options and aren't worth their salary.....Jamison and Reef are two guys that will EAT up about 28Million just for those two. They aren't worth it. Jamison is nothing but a stat player and that is why the Warriors dumped him. Two much cap space ate up between two tweeners that haven't ever won.
  23. No. None of these trades makes the Hawks a top team. Delk/Diaw/Jamison/Reef/Nazr? That team sucks. Jamison and Reef for the most part are stat players and not winners. You have a team with only two scores and two backups. Nazr is a backup unless you have three scorers or more and Delk isn't a starter at all.
  24. If the team really thinks building around these two is a good idea you best prepare for a Denver Nuggets decade of sucking to start...
