    Stockton/Malone pt.2

    I admit that Collins is no Malone,but I Liked how the Hawks went to him early against the Pacers and featured him as an option. Collins shoots to well not to get enough touches. To me he could be a number 2 option if the right plays are called for him more often.

    The Hawks should run Young and Collins pick and role exclusively as the main play in the offense. Some people will say that they already do,but I mean at a old Utah Jazz level.Collins could get between 23-24 points a game if he had more looks.Let everybody else feed off of that.Collins isn't as strong as Malone,but he can both pop the jumper and finish at the rim like Malone.The Mailman got 30,000 plus running that simple play.

    I agree with this observation, the pieces are their to have a better defense.why when Young misses a game the team picks up their defense? When your best player isn’t going hard on both sides of the ball it rubs off on others. With Capela,Hunter,Reddish,Collins,Cabarrot,Okongwa,the Hawks have plenty of defenders.This is Trae Young’s team.I’m not like Schlenk in lowering expectations. No major trades necessary.

    Is this the toughest division in the NBA? Washington and Orlando are looking impressive and Atlanta ,Charlotte and Miami are already good.

    Even though they lost,like the way the Hawks are playing defense. Shots weren’t falling.,Rubio got hot.

    I really have more than 10 post. I had to change my username twice over the years. Been following the Hawks since around 1982. Seen the Nique years,the smitty years the iso Joe years, the 60 win team and this is overall the best roster. Three deep across the board.Tree Rollins is a distance cousin of mine.

    This is the best Hawks roster ever. They have both offense and defense . Young legs and coaching.

    As players Lou and solo don’t bring as much as they use to, but as teammates they bring more than they use to. They were a key part of this run

    Me personally, I have seen a dramatic improvement in effort and execution since Nate has taken over. Neither of them are at the level of Capela and Hunter,but the improvement is real. Randle had Young posted up on the block and passed the ball out and turned it over. Collins is not a center and when not asked to guard true centers he is solid and works.
