Hell I was excited before the game. Its the flashes the rooks are showing. It's a good thing for them to flash in this setting. Mays is also playing really well.

Jalen's handle is much better than I expected. He's bringing the ball up with pressure. Sharife looks great. Half his turnovers are because teammates aren't ready for the pass when they clearly should be. Rooks look great!

Getting two all time greats in Shaq and LBJ really helped the Heat. I do see the Heat as a rivalry too. The Heat and the Celtics are even in my grand book of hate.

I think it'll be Hawks Knicks on Christmas day. The narrative of the Villian (Grench) going back to the garden to steal their Christmas is too good to pass up.

This seems to indicate the Hawks will be the fourth seed in the East. I have a problem with Miami being ahead of us, but I can see a realistic way the Hawks being the fourth seed with Brooklyn, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia ahead of the Hawks. My personal belief is the Hawks will be a top three seed next season. I don't have a problem with CBS thinking we are the fourth best team in the East.

The problem with Tatum and Brown is they aren't playmakers. They can get their own shots, but aren't very good at making their teammates better. With that caveat, you should have Boston in the same category of Charlotte, Miami, and Chicago. No way Boston should be ahead of Philly. They were better than Boston with this squad last year and Boston hasn't done anything significant to improve their point guard position. Unless I'm missing something. I have no qualms with anything else you said. Great analysis.

It's summer league. I don't think I've ever seen a ton of flopping in summer league. What makes the game flow much better is the 10 fouls each player gets and teams get a quarter before the penalty. Also, 10 minute quarters without stoppages for TV timeouts etc.

One more point to make. Johnson and Cooper both had limited in game playing time this past year. When consider that, they both had excellent debuts. I know you can't take too much from summer league, but you love to see those flashes. Johnson looked like a top 10 pick out there. He affected the game on both ends. He had a real motor out there. He was fighting his teammates for some of those rebounds. Cooper also looked like a top 14 pick when you consider the reads he was making. He also tried on the defensive end. I can't wait to see how they look the next game.

I believe that was Keldon Johnson. The broadcast team had he names wrong.

I just hate it because they blew the lead in the last minute and it was BOSTON! So encouraged by Jalen though. He looked like a lottery talent out there. Very encouraging start for him. Cooper will look better once he gets more time with his teammates.

Jalen looks great on both ends. We knew his shot would need work, but he's not out there doing things he can't. I'm glad to see him stay within his game. Cooper's playmaking has looked excellent these summer league guys aren't ready for his vision.

Jalen showed some impressive flashes. Coop started to settle down a little bit. Mays looks like the Vet out there and I like Jordan Bells Husstle. That guy that started with an H played well too. I guess we're not using the Chat for this? Hey had some great defensive moments. Great compared to my expectations anyway.

Charolette traded up in front of the Hawks to take Kai Jones. Maybe Charlotte had intel that we would take Kai? I would have probably preferred Kai on draft night as I believe he would be able to play with OO and JC in the future. However, Kai's floor is very low and he's very raw. We are probably looking at two years before he gets meaningful minutes. I believe Jalen will start contributing a little before Kai, but the long term fit if Kai hits would be better in my opinion.

I just got done watching this and was coming to post! I'm really excited to see his play in summer league. I know you can't take too much from summer league, but I believe his playmaking and ability to run the offense will sine and make me even more excited about his future as the backup point guard.

Charlotte hasn't been talked about much, I agree with you here. Charlotte has a really solid team. If Melo takes a step and Hayward stays healthy and produces at prior seasons level, they will be a tough out for anyone.
